Well, from what I remember, Civil War was really the big turning point for the Avengers - when it went from "one or two teams with a bunch of honorary members" to "many teams, large organization, many members." With Civil War, you had the big heavy-hitters running in the Mighty Avengers, and then the New Avengers were pretty much street-level guys. Captain America, Luke Cage, Spider-Man - they were all underground, low-powered resistance fighters, essentially.

Now you've got a bunch of different Avengers teams. You've got the mainline Avengers, you've got the Avengers Academy for teenagers, you've got the Mighty Avengers for street-level heroes, Secret Avengers for black ops, you've got Uncanny Avengers, Avengers A.I., Young Avengers. All sorts of Avengers. Too many Avengers, probably.

Well the TMNT figure options we finally decided on are probably a tad big for comics purists, T-Spinny, but I guess the movies help justify the choice at least.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Interesting. I did not know the Avengers had expanded that much.
I suppose it sells comics. Are there many villain teams?

EDIT: Hopefully we get more TMNT mini options but I wonder if this larger Turtle trend will hold fast and make a more appropriate sized figure less likely.

Yeah, it bothered me right away when I saw it. How are they suppose to move in and out of the NYC sewer system when they are bigger then the manholes? How are they suppose to be stealthy ninja running around fighting crime at night when they are giant sized? In one of the clips I saw one turtle was as big as a military Humvee and crushed it like a tin can when he landed on it. Not excited for that movie even in the slightest.

Raphael's current design that we're still waiting on playtests for is at Medium 4 but maybe we should compromise at Medium 5.

I can snap some photos of the Turtles next to Cappy tonight for reference.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.
