Name Of Figure Being Playtested: Roy "Minigun" Galvinwood
Game 1 Theme: Outlaws vs Lawmen 210 points: Armies: Team 1 - Roy "Minigun" Galvinwood (70), Garrett Burns (70) and Josie Whistletop (70) vs Team 2 - Guilty McCreech (30), James Murphy (75), Johnny "Shotgun" Sullivan (65) and Patrick Ferguson (40) Map: Wargrounds and 2 random Glyphs Provide a brief summary of the game: I proxy the Foolkiller miniature for my custom hero Roy Galvinwood. How many kills: How many wounds dealt: Heroes Wounds dealt to Roy Galvinwood: Which units survived: (Team 1: Four life Garrett Burns & Full life Josie Whistletop & Three life Roy Galvinwood / Team 2: No Survivors ) How useful were playtesting units' powers how often did they come into play: (Analyze how you feel about the unit. Do you think they're worth their points? More? Less? Penetrating Minigun: Total: 5 times Any additional comments (theme, balance, fun factor with and against)? Theme: A human wielding a minigun, a big gun wielded by a human, excluding soulborgs because some of them are big guns themselves. Balance: I put his point value at 70, he may need to be playtested before submitting him to the SoV. Fun Factor:He can take out multiple squad figures with the Penetrating Minigun which is like Zhen Yuan's Eagle Claw ability. The figure used for this unit is Foolkiller from Marvel Heroclix Set. The name and model number is Foolkiller Deadpool and X-Force #003b. P.S. I had accidentally closed the post before posting the playtest, what you see now is from memory. |

Re: Heroscaper 101 custom playtest [Updated]
Another big victory for Roy’s team. I suggest either raising his points or making him less powerful. Maybe he can’t use Penetrating Minigun if he moved this turn?

Re: Heroscaper 101 custom playtest [Updated]
You may be correct, Penetrating Minigun is strong, I remember pwning James Murphy & Johnny "Shotgun" Sullivan with 2 wounds on the 1st attack and 1 wound on the 2nd attack.

Re: Heroscaper 101 custom playtest [Updated]
Again, another big win for the Outlaws. Before running another playtest with this character, do one of the following;
1) Raise his points. I suggest raising him to 100 points OR 2) Make him weaker. I suggest lowering his life to 3. |

Re: Heroscaper 101 custom playtest [Updated]
So this guy has a better SA than Major Q10, but costs less than half as much? Does that seem balanced?
What’s the theme behind him having Engagement Strike? |

Re: Heroscaper 101 custom playtest [Updated]
To be fair, he's a lot more fragile, and the gun doesn't have close to the same range as Q10's Machine Pistol - if he's in range to use it, he's probably vulnerable. May still be a bit low, but I'd be looking at somewhere in the 80-100 range, as a guess?
Yeah, I'm not sure where Engagement Strike's coming from either. |
