THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
Never really made any impact on any game he was in, other than possibly taking up a spot better used for another character in his army.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT:
Very possible I may just not have access to units that unlock his true potential, but in my games, he was largely ineffectual and inactive, and generally, not like Batman. I like the theme, and if he were a Vigilante, I’d pair him with Lady Shiva in a Ninja or Assassin army, have him be Bruce Wayne in the League of Shadows.

Compared to other 190 point heroes, he didn’t really bring anything to his teams. Assess Weakness’ Before Moving paired with its low range makes it very difficult to set up, and having him once per round attack an engaged figure that allowed him to use At the Ready adds even more difficulty to pull off. Combined with the low dice of his attack, even managing to pull it off doesn’t often pay off.

I would consider allowing him to move either Normally or with Bat Grapple on At the Ready, possibly increasing his range on At the Ready and increasing his attack. I failed on his Assess Weakness roll enough, but -3 defense is pretty great, so I’m fine with it being 50/50.

Thinking he’s good on testing. He’s gone 3-7-1, with the losses generally being by bigger margins than the wins, and the wins not being due to him. May need a small bump to stay at 190?

I like the idea of going even lower if we are going for the lowest cost Batman if he plays OK.
Or does 190 fit mathematically?

190 works for a lot of army builds for the faction, was the main draw. Lower may work as well, but I’m not sure if as much.

Points wise, 170-180 feels likely. I think a very slight tweak could boost him to 190. Either Defense to 6 or Attack to 3 would likely do the trick. Toyhandle’s option of allowing him to use his regular movement on At the Ready could help get him into action quicker could potentially work.

I like the option of him being able to use his normal movement. Batman insisting on using his Bat-Grapple when traversing a flat plain does seem a little goofy.

Not entirely sure. There’s lots of 180-190 point figures that probably still dwarf him a bit by comparison in terms of usefulness and draftability. I don’t think it’d be terribly unreasonable to do a bump to 3 attack and the normal movement option at 190.

Kraven has better stats and similar value in terms of powers, and he’s 200, so 190 with 2 fewer life than him seems like it’s not pushing it.
