I don't see why you would always play him with apocalypse. With only an adjacent 6 (7 with HoA) attack, and no attacking powers, he isn't as good a choice as, say, Wolverine or Deadpool. I like that he doesn't need to be with Apocalypse to be powerful.

I'd test him 240 and see where he goes from there, I really can't see him taking down Iron Fist or Psylocke at this level.

Right now, X-Factor Detection is cool thematically, but doesn't have a whole lot of use. It can only be used for his Fear power (which only has a range of 3, so it's not going to come up all that often), and when he has a glyph with a ranged power, which then gets weird thematically. How can he use the Shrink Ray or Cosmic Control Rod through a wall?

It would help with Apoc. In order for him to take a turn with a Horseman figure the must be within clear sight which that power would do regardless of any obstruction in the way.

I thought the same thing until the suggestion of letting it work for friendly adjacent figures. I mean think of all the powers that require line of sight that now wouldn't.

The problem is that he then allows allies to shoot through walls and obstacles, and I don't think you can justify that thematically.

Karat, as Smithy pointed out, he's not actually boosted that much by Apocalypse. Plus, right now, it allows Caliban to see Apoc, not the other way around. And if it you set things up to work that way, Mutants can then shoot Caliban through walls.

I'm against Caliban as a Horseman. He has a rich comics history and I don't we think we should limit him to just one small portion of that.

Ok so that power needs to go back to the drawing board. As far as his history goes, he does have a rich one. I figured in a game where we have two Superman, two Batman, two Luthors etc. why couldn't there be a horseman Caliban and a non-horseman Caliban? Yes he has a awesome history but I also loved him as Death and then as Pestillance.

Well out of the suggestions and ideas I have come up with for X-Factor Detection the next one I would go with would be:

Before taking a turn with Caliban you may choose any Murant on the battlefield. Add one to Caliban's Move number for each Wound Marker on the chosen figure's card up to a maximum of three. If you do Caliban may only attack the chosen figure this turn.
Can I do that though, can I just reuse a power change it fit another species and slap it with a new name? Is that allowed?

That doesn't really get across the theme of him detecting them though. That's more him tracking therm by there scent or something similar which isn't accurate here

The only thing I can think of is an initiative boost or the ability to look at unrevealed markers of enemy mutants.
