And so it was that a great conflict between the ruling council arose, born of pride and jealousy that had festered beyond the count of years.

As the council did turn against him, led in force by Jim, IamBatman poisoned the Wellspring and departed his post, seemingly defeated, if bitterly so.

But it was not the end, for little more than hours later, the fiends returned, corrupted beyond recognition into a warped form so vile to gaze upon that France fell before him in his wrath with no resistance whatsoever.

Like a blight, he swept down upon them, and wrested from the ruling council their powers, twisted their very visages, which had been of nobility but were now cruel mockeries of the returned enemy in the guise BatmanIam.

Broken, the ruling council fled before him, their powers cast down from the heights and their authority a ruined husk of what was.

A new dark lord is risen, born of his pride and the blood of innocents to haunt the forums, posting without bond nor humility. And the masses cried out in fear,

"The Bat has returned; mercy upon our souls and avatars..."
