Re: The Public design of Hoth Han
I really like that version of carry and think it should be on the card. something that can't be taken away from this card is some way for Han to bail out his allies from a nasty situation - it's core to the unit at hand and to the character. I would like the rider that the riding unit gets to avoid leaving engagement attacks.
That power, some popular version of aggressive scouting, and his snow/ice bonuses and We have a card that I'd be happy to begin playtestng for. Side note: I don't want the pick-up-anytime carry to be tied to tauntauns, because I think this is a power we could revisit and utilize a bit more in the future. Maybe a name like HEROIC RESCUE or DARING SAVE or something equally lame sounding. RECKLESS BAILOUT has a fun sound to it. That last one was meant as a joke, but I already really like it. |

Re: The Public design of Hoth Han
The angular body of the Tauntaun makes it look like it would be hard to carry a second person on the back. It's not like a horse with a long, straight back. I'd guess that even if you could fit a second person on the Tauntaun that it would be hard to hold on as that second person, especially as it's moving. |

Re: The Public design of Hoth Han
This is where I am at. From both a game play and theme perspective he would be pretty awesome IMO.
Han Solo (on Tauntaun) Rebel Alliance Human Unique Hero Scout Bold LARGE Life 5 Move 7 Range 5 Attack 3 Defense 4 Points 110 RESCUE After moving this Han Solo, you may choose a friendly small or medium figure that was adjacent to him at any point before or during his move. Place the chosen figure on any empty space adjacent to Han Solo. A figure moved by Rescue may ignore one Leaving Engagement Attack. AGGRESSIVE SCOUTING If Han Solo attacks a figure that was not within 5 clear sight spaces when he started his turn, he may attack one additional time. Han may not use this ability if he used Rescue this turn. SNOW AND ICE ENHANCED MOVEMENT Slippery Ice and Heavy Snow only count as 1 space when moving. |

I agree with Heroscape2010 about the Tauntauns shouldn't carry two people, however this version of Han is the best so far and really fits Han's personality so I'm ok with it. The idea of Han running around saving people fits thematically even if the carrying of two people doesn't completely fit. Nice idea for only avoiding 1 LEA Yodaking. I think this is ready for a playtesting vote. And the Lord said unto John, "Come forth and you will receive eternal life." But John came fifth, and won a toaster. My Customs |

You're just not doing it right: I like the version that YK posted too, except I think that "ignore one leaving engagement attack" is a bit unorthodox. I'd prefer just a blanket LEA immunity. Re: The Public design of Hoth Han
I think you could probably get two people on a tauntaun. I especially like that having a carry type ability on this Han card turns him into a support character which is where I feel Hoth Han should be.
I also agree with Porkins that ignoring a single leaving engagement is unnecessary. I'd personally like to see the character receive leaving engagement penalties. We're already allowing Han to move the character in the middle of his movement. Allowing the moved figure to ignore leaving engagements also might be overkill. |

Re: The Public design of Hoth Han
I feel like Yodaking hit the mark with the 1 LEA. No LEAs is too OP in my opinion. As for taking all LEAs, you aren't really Rescuing a figure if they would take the same risks as if they moved on their own. Taking all LEAs seems extreme and I think avoiding 1 is the way to go.

Re: The Public design of Hoth Han
Make the rescued figure immune from LEAs but not Han. Han risks his own life to save someone else.

YK, the draft in your post looks great to me.
I like that idea. |
