That sounds fun to me, actually - forces you to be more creative, and allows him to do some really high end stuff every now and then.

Yeah, that's the idea. That way the special powers on the field become a limited resource and there's a resource management and tactical timing aspect to it that would be fun.

There's still the nightmare of tracking what you've used and what you haven't, but if people can get over that, could be a good way to go.

Like I've said pretty much every time Tasky has been discussed, I really strongly prefer this approach. It's more representative of how he actually operates.

The dude watches old WWII newsreels of Captain America in his free time. He's already studied all the great fighters in his universe. He's pulling from their repertoires way more often than he actually learns something from whatever schmuck he's fighting. Having to underpower him to accomodate for him learning how to fight from Joe Schmoe is kinda eh, and results in him wanting to copy a lot of unthematic stuff.

Well, I did throw in Cap's Shield Throw specifically
That being the case, let's say 4 abilities- who should he be stealing from?

Personally, I'd say something like Cap, Hawkeye, Shang-Chi, and one other guy

I think a sword power (???), shield power (Cap), bow/gun/projectile power (Hawkeye/Punisher/Bullseye), and some martial arts/counterstrike power (Elektra/Shang-Chi/Iron Fist) would be cool.

I still think a mimicking power would be cooler, if only cause I want him to be able to do stuff like shoot Hadokens. But if it can't work it can't work.

I think Shield Throw and Swordplay seem like perfect fits. Then Deadly Aim also seems cool and could cover guns, bows, or whatever else he happens to use. Personally I'd much rather see him with some sort of Counterstrike for his last power to show how he can analyze and overcome foes. I like Calculating as a personality but with Merc as the class.

I'd just give him range instead of a ranger special power

I feel that Swordplay, Shield Throw, a counterstrike type power, and maybe a stat boosting power would be golden.
