Yeah, I wouldn't call it difficult yet. Between Marvel, DC, and Independent, there's a ton left to do. Most of my favorite characters have been done, sure, but I am certainly interested and excited about plenty more to come.

I would like to design Jason, Freddy, and Ash, if the heroes would consider a re-vote for their approval.

I still maintain that if Predator, Aliens, Street Fighter etc. can make it through, that Freddy, Jason, Ash, and Mortal Kombat characters should be considered acceptable as well. None which started out as comics but have had their respective series.

Ash - and other horror icons - have definitely had enough of a comic book presence for me to support their inclusion. Ash in particular had a pretty high-profile Marvel Zombies crossover. I agree that they're equally relevant as Aliens and Predators.

So you'd have my vote there, for whatever that's worth.

Ash is a synonym for Bada$$,that's what an Ash is! And I completely agree on Freddy and Jason, those to are superhuman enough to be in c3g, and they've had enough comic appearances(a lot more than Agent Hunter, who still rules, don't get me wrong) , plus I'd love to play a game with Raiden, Scorpion, Sektor, and especially Shao Khan.

Well, the interest shown has motivated me to make some designs for them then. I'm a huge horror movie buff, and Mortal Kombat, so I know about all there is to know on the characters. I'd love to make some designs for them.

They already have. As mentioned, Predator has been made, and Aliens and Street Fighter characters are in the works. So IMO, Jason and Freddy etc. fit right along that same vein.

Of course, the biggest barrier for Ash (and Mortal Kombat characters) is the lack of miniatures. Here's the hierarchy I, personally, use, and I suspect a lot of Heroes would agree with, when approving/disapproving designs and characters.

1) Comic original character with an easily-available figure = guaranteed in.
2) Non-comic character (with comic history) with an easily-available figure = probably in.
3) Comic book character with a repainted/modded figure = probably in.
4) Non-comic character (with comic history) with a repainted/modded figure = probably not in.
5) Comic book character without a figure = probably not in.
6) Non-comic character (with comic history) without a figure = definitely not in.
7) Non-comic character (without comic history) = definitely not in.

Just as far as practicality goes. Street Fighter, Alien, Predator? All have HeroClix, so I have no problem including them. When you get to Mortal Kombat, though? I wouldn't be enthusiastic including them simply because there are characters that are easier to include, that more fans could use, and that are more relevant to the "C3G" spirit.

Right now we've voted down Freddy and Jason - who DO have figures and DO have comic book history (albeit not as major as some of the other non-comic characters we've designed). I wouldn't mind calling a re-vote, there, if someone presents a good design for either; I think they're currently the only two mentioned that have a real shot at success, though.

(Another big factor is cross-over, history. For me at least - Marvel vs. Capcom/X-Men vs. Street Fighter has a long history as a major video game, so they mesh naturally. Alien and Predator have crossed over with DC a lot. Neither Freddy nor Jason have that sort of history with major comic brands; Ash is closer. Mortal Kombat fought DC, though, so that makes sense to me. Too bad there's no figures...)
