Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)

The Chimera Squad guys are all pretty stronk relative to your average XCOM soldier, so being powerful isn't a huge concern. Verge isn't exactly a push-over. I guess I'd say max 300 points maybe? I could nerf him if he's looking like he's more than that however And now, it's moving or attacking- in Chimera Squad, he can use his psionic abilities without ending the turn, so he can use two instead of moving or attacking |

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
I mean he’s fairly fragile if he doesn’t have markers on people, but he’s combining a lot of powerful attributes in one space. OM removal, unblockables, auto-skulls, and healing are all pretty strong abilities to have independently, nevermind together. And once he has markers on one or two guys, he can just retreat and continually roll unblockables until those guys fall.
A common heuristic I’ve been using to see how balanced a design is goes something like this; A) Does this unit have an unfair advantage against the classic X-Men? B) Does this unit have an unfair advantage against the F4? C) Does this design have an unfair advantage against Lanterns? |

He is, however, intentionally limited in that he can't use the OM removal on anyone he's already done it too and he never gets those Markers back. |

NAME = FLOATERS SPECIES = FLOATER UNIQUENESS = COMMON SQUAD (3) CLASS = SOLDIERS PERSONALITY = CONQUERED SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 4 LIFE = 1 MOVE = 6 RANGE = 6 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 3 POINTS = ??? LAUNCH Instead of moving and attacking with a Floater you control, you may immediately place that Floater on any space within 12 spaces of its current space. Floaters will take leaving engagement attacks if they were engaged with a figure before using Launch. AERIAL ADVANTAGE While a Floater can use its Flying special power, they are always considered to have height advantage on non-flying figures. Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
I like the design I just did a bit better though, although I may repurpose Launch from that older one
Kinda fits nicer |

NAME = SECTOID COMMANDER SPECIES = SECTOID UNIQUENESS = UNCOMMON HERO CLASS = TELEPATH PERSONALITY = CONQUERED SIZE/HEIGHT = SMALL 3 LIFE = 4 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 6 ATTACK = 4 DEFENSE = 4 POINTS = ??? GREATER MIND MERGE Start the game with a blue Mind Merge Marker. Instead of moving or attacking with this Sectoid Commander, you may place the Mind Merge Marker on this card. If the Mind Merge Marker is on this card, Sectoids within 4 spaces of this Sectoid Commander count all shields rolled as additional skulls when attacking. Only one Sectoid Commander may have a Mind Merger Marker on their card at a time. At the end of the round, remove the Mind Merge Marker from this card. PSIONIC CONTROL Instead of attacking with this Sectoid Commander, you may choose one opponent's Unique Hero within 4 spaces and roll the 20-sided die. On a 16 or more, remove all Order Markers from that figure's card, then take temporary control of that figure and immediately take a turn with that figure, and you may not take any additional turns with other figures you control. At the end of the round, control of the chosen Hero returns to the player who controlled the Hero before Psionic Control. MINDFRAY Once per round, instead of attacking with this Sectoid Commander, you may roll one unblockable attack die against a figure within 4 spaces of it. If that figure was a Unique Hero, for the rest of the round subtract 1 from their Move and Attack. Telepaths and figures with the Mental Shield special power are not affected by Mindfray. Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
NAME = MUTON SOLDIERS SPECIES = MUTON UNIQUENESS = COMMON SQUAD (3) CLASS = SOLDIERS PERSONALITY = CONQUERED SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 6 LIFE = 1 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 6 ATTACK = 4 DEFENSE = 4 POINTS = ??? BLOOD CALL Once per round, you may choose one Muton Soldier to use Blood Call instead of attacking. For the remainder of the round, all Mutons you control add 1 to their Move, and may re-roll one blank when attacking or defending. INTIMIDATE If a Muton figure you control is wounded or destroyed within 4 spaces of a Muton Soldier you control, roll the 20-sided die. On an 18 or more, you may remove one Order Marker at random from your opponent's army cards. TOUGH When rolling defense dice against a normal attack, Muton Soldiers always add one automatic shield to whatever is rolled. WEAK-MINDED 2 If any player rolls the 20-sided die to take temporary or permanent control of a Muton Soldier, that player may add 2 to the roll. |
