I do worry that the marker regen will make him really swingy and his points pretty match up dependent (like it's a pretty significant effect that will make him pretty powerful against Event Heroes and more level against other armies).

I’ve got a potential answer to that. We could make it an end of round roll of 1 combat die, with a roll of a blank gaining a Marker back. This would encourage a fun tie in with Zatanna II for the JLD affiliation. Then maybe make it so if an Event Hero is present, you count shields as blanks. Alternatively, we can always drop it too.

As for the the class overlap prevention, should we be concerned that the justice league hubs are champions and won’t be viable?

Nah, I like how it has you diversify your builds a bit. He's not going to just do the easy thing and call all the champions. He sees a grander plan that requires more of a mix of heroes.

How many of the hub figures are actually Champions? Isn't it just Martian Manhunter and Superman?

JL Bats is a Champion. Cyborg's the only one who breaks the pattern (he's a Scientist).

I don’t mind this encouraging you to take not JLA versions, but I think it’s OK to drop the restriction if need be.

Yeah would dropping the Class restriction damage the design somehow? I kind of like being able to draft a bunch of GLs or what have you.

Really excited to finally have something JLA that can pull in Supergirl somehow.

The intent was to encourage diverse membership that was more JLA thematic, rather than a Kryptonian army or an Atlantean army or something like that. Not sure how much that restriction pushes you there anyway, as my above examples can be constructed with pretty different Classes in the mix.

I do kinda worry about the recharge aspect just making him a great GL leader over being a great JLA leader, but I guess he's a good guy helping against big bads either way, so that fits the character.
