The Book of Cursed Earth T-Rex
The Book of Cursed Earth T-Rex C3G 2000AD PUBLIC EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION 21 COMBATANTS AND CARNIVORES Comic PDF Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a CollectA figure from the Prehistoric Life set. Its model name is Tyrannosaurus Rex. _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - Tyrannosaurs are a species of large carnivorous dinosaurs that live in the Cursed Earth, primarily Sauron Valley. Most tyrannosaurs were brought back to life in the late 2000's in a scientific experiment to try and clone Dinosaurs from fossils. Most of them were donated to various wildlife parks but managed to escape from captivity during the Atomic Wars. Many dinosaurs, including tyrannosaurs, made their home in Sauron Valley. The black tyrannosaur Satanus quickly dominated the other tyrannosaurs and became their leader. It was now up to the tyrannosaurs to make new dinosaurs the traditional way. These amorous activities resulted in fresh tyrannosaurs eager to prove themselves. Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
OK, I am going to take one last swing at my original vision.
A couple things to keep in mind. I changed it to Dinosaur Island to try and better represent the Silver Age and the simple de-powered version you see here. It also leaves the option of a more powerful Savage Land version which I see as a combination of ZJ's Savage Land Frenzy and Margloth's Crushing Jaws. I would be willing to LD that after the rest of the Dinos are complete. These Dinos may look simple but that is intentional. They are to be pawns in the Dinosaur faction. The next Dino (Old One Eye) will be able to move them as a large pack and the one after (Golgotha), will bond with them. They need to be simple and low cost for this to all work out and ideally I would like to see them check in around 60 points. I am curious to see if the public is at all interested in a no power card. For you old timers, consider this my tribute to Matt Helm who once said something like: "Any aspect of a design that could be represented by stats, should be." So, non-sanctum members, what say you? Are you interested in a no power t-rex card or not? I say give them 48 hours to answer and accept that no answer = no interest if that's the way it goes. Any further discussion from sanctum members threatens to devolve into something non-productive, IMO. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
NAME = SAURON VALLEY T-REX SPECIES = DINOSAUR UNIQUENESS = UNCOMMON HERO CLASS = DEVOURER PERSONALITY = WILD SIZE/HEIGHT = HUGE 8-10 LIFE = 7 MOVE = 6 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 6 DEFENSE = 2 POINTS = ?60? ROAR IN TRIUMPH After destroying a figure with this Sauron Valley T-Rex, you must, if possible, roar or destroy this figure. Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
Great stuff here! I am happy with the Crushing Jaws choice.
EDIT: I moved this thread over from the base forum to Public Designs. Like Superheroes and Comics?

C3G INITIAL PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE TEST UNIT Lost Land T-Rex Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 60-ish T-Rex crushed everything in its range but it was built for combat. 50 - Wasp: T-Rex 1/7w 50 - Atom: T-Rex 3/7w 60 - BB T-Rex: T-Rex 3/7w. re-match: T-Rex 6/7w 60 - Jubilee: T-Rex 6/7w 70 - Iron Man: Full 75 - Hellcat: 3/4w _____________________________________________________________ Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 60 is feeling good right now. - Give a brief overview. T-Rex fight with vigor and gulp down Doc whole but the Criminals have a little too much. Map: City Park. Units: LL T-Rex x3(180), Baron Zemo(170), Cap(240) & Bucky(60)[650] vs.Doc Ock(215), Wizard(140), LexCorp x2(260) & Skrull Infiltrator x4(40)[655]
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 60. - Give a brief overview. T-Rex roar in triumph. Map: City Park. Units: LL T-Rex x4(240), Invisible Woman(215) & Zemo(170)[625] vs. Luke Cage(190), Iron Fist(260) & Tigra(170)[620].
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 60. - Give a brief overview. Terrible luck for Mentallo and a Wendigo murder spree nearly ended this early, but one T-Rex rose and said no more. Map: City Park. Units: LL T-Rex x5(300), LexCorp x2(260), Cap(240), Bucky(60) & Metallo(135)[995] vs. Frankenstein(320), Dragon Man(320) & Wendigo(350)[990].
Spoiler Alert!
THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Liking 60 points right now. They have a lot of bite and great durability for that point range but are as one dimensional as you can get. They exist to destroy. GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: These guys are freaking awesome. Who thought a pseudo-no power figure could be so fun? Had a blast with them. Their low Defense makes them vulnerable to practically everyone (they despise multi-attacks) but their high Life makes them almost impossible to drop in one hit. The same cannot be said for their victims as their 6 Attack dice can destroy must figures in the game if the dice go their way and they did a few times for me. When one T-Rex finished off Frankenstein with 4wounds then followed it up with a 5wound goring of Wendigo I could not believe it. After the rest of the pack did almost nothing, this little upstart nearly wins the battle himself. So good. I will have to dig back through to pull some numbers for damage but I gotta go. Looking good here and I suspect not too much testing is needed to finish them. Last edited by Tornado; May 11th, 2019 at 05:56 PM. |

Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
I dropped the Life and Defense and made them Young to justify. I am thinking about a Juvenile T-Rex from Hobby Lobby for the figure.

Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)
I still prefer a defense of 3 here so he can reasonably be expected to block some 3 die attacks. With just one straight forward power and some okay stats, I don't see why he can't still hit 100 or fewer points. Weather Wizard, Armor, and Mister Zsasz are all 100 point figures with some nice tricks up there sleeve.
