I posted this on the Heroscapers Facebook page on Sunday, but sharing here as well.

Played a 1v1 C3G game on Saturday night, two 4-figure, 880 point teams that we just pieced together quickly.

My mostly undead team of Solomon Grundy, Judge Death, Kirigi, and Firefly came out victorious against the fighter faction of Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Wolverine, and Human Torch (Jim Hammond).

There was a point where I thought my goose was cooked because I only had Kirigi on the battlefield. But I then brought Grundy and Death back in the same turn by rolling a 16 for Grundy and then destroying Luke Cage with Kirigi and replacing him with Death.

Overall both Grundy and Death came back twice and it was a fun first time fielding Judge Death.

I would note that Judge Death attempted the Death Sentence Special Attack approximately 4 times during the match and was stonewalled on all attempts (1 Skull to 1 Shield on all the rolls). I'm thinking next time I use him, I might want to pair him with someone like Nebula to get an extra attack against someone who escaped the grips of Death.

Cool. Pretty rare I hear someone say they had fun with Death unless they were fighting Civilians.
Someday you may see a better version of Death's SA. I have been complaining about it since the LD.

You were fortunate to bring back Death even once. Why on earth would anyone attack Death unless he is the last figure remaining, he is no threat.
Next time I would take Judge Mortis instead. He gets a 'bonding attack' with other Undead.
Kirigi is awesome. One of my favorites in all of C3G.
