Not saying anything on that, except we should not use the same direct type Indicator as an SI for both. Even if one is spelled out and the other is Roman numerals.

That's a good call. Hadn't thought of that. Obviously if you gave both The Doctor and The Master "First" as an S.I., then they'd be considered the same person under the rules.

I'd say go with the "First," "Eleventh" etc. route for The Doctor for now and give yourself some time to figure out The Master later.

I guess I just don’t want to lock us into the SI system now and then later get told I can’t do something that works for the Master.

If numbers are out (and I think Karat makes a valid point why they should be), the only other solution I’ve thought of would be the subtitle system. So would we accept something like this?

We can always find something better than “UNIT Enemy” or whatever, but we’re not going to find “names” for these incarnations in the traditional sense.

The first Master we see on TV (UNIT Enemy) is his 13th incarnation. The Burnt, Tremas, and Bruce Masters are all technically still the same incarnation too, but the writing treats them as different versions basically.

I have plans to design all of those at bare minimum, and maybe tackle some of the EU/comic Masters. But it’s not an immediate concern by any stretch of the imagination.

The Doctor's team got steamrolled hard, and he never even came into play. Doc Oc and Blob fell quickly, then Red Tornado struggled to move for several turns, so he couldn't go and kill Red Ghost. Luck was on the opposing team's side hard, and overall I don't think this game really gave any sort of real result.

Much better showing here for Doc's team. Robin, Jason, and Mummy made for great teammates, though Blob got taken out before doing anything. Still a close finish, though Mummy felt like he had the upper hand for sure by that point.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
The Doctor is decent when playing within the right armies that help him, mainly tricky tie down units, and he seems like a good counter to Androids and Cyborgs. Outside of going up against them, I'm not entirely sure how good he'd be. That said, Fast Talking is solid on its own, and when paired with the right tie down units as previously mentioned, he can serve a nice supporting role. 160 feels pretty good to me.

Something that occurred to me while playing Ark is that he might actually pair really nice in a Mad Thinker Android build.
