Re: The Book of Skyscraper - Final Editing
I trust you.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Skyscraper - Final Editing
Hmm. Looks like there is 8.5 x 14 printer paper.
That would solve a lot of problems. First and second floor could be a single sheet. Two for the roof, two for each side. Crap. Was so close to being done.. |

Will that fit in a standard printer? lol

Re: The Book of Skyscraper - Final Editing
These are the instructions for how to turn an already assembled shelf into a Skyscraper. It may be
easy to do some of these steps before you assemble the Skyscraper, but you can certainly do them after. There’s just one important thing to keep in mind during assembly: don’t install the cardboard backing into the back of the shelf! You’ll want two walls open to see inside the structure and to reach in and move figures. To make up for the loss of support, I trimmed my backing down into four little triangles and wedged one into each back corner of the shelf. 1) First Supplies 2) Double-Sided Tape Works Well 3) Make sure you download the files and save them on your computer. If you try to print them directly from a browser, you might end up with a wrong-sized piece like this. 4) Start with the Roof 5) Trim the first back piece 6) Line it up with the back left corner and make sure it is flush to each edge. Don't tape yet! It's important to measure all the pieces and make sure everything fits right first. 7) Trim the front piece. Leave the white strip with the F on it to help you remember which side is the front 8.) Line the first front piece over the first back piece 9) Repeat the process with the second back piece 10) And then with the second front piece 11) You may have a little overhang on one side. That's OK. You can trim it later. 12) Lay down your preferred adhesive. I used double-sided tape. 13) The biggest trick when laying the roof back down is to create holes for the pegs. 14) I used small nails in the peg holes while installing the roof and guided the roof tile over them to make holes for the pegs to go through. Just watch your fingers! 15) Once that piece of the roof is securely adhered to the roof and the nail is through, pull the nail on out to leave a hole for the peg. 16) Make sure to apply your adhesive as you go to bind the underside of the front piece to the white underlay portion of the back piece. 17) At the end you should have a nicely lined up roof affixed to the shelf with holes for each of the four pegs. 18.) Go ahead and punch the pegs down in there to make the holes the right size. 19) In fact, do all four, as that leads to the next step. 20) Take advantage of the stackability (you know you can’t get just one!). Put one unit on the other to help flatten the roof and smooth it out. If you have a lot of overlap, now is a good time to trim as well. 21) Trimming 22) Trimming 23) If you're like me, it won't be perfect, but you can get it good enough. 24) Now it's time to start with the interior, starting with printing. Here are the pieces for the ground floor. Remember to download and save the file before printing! 25) I labeled my back piece for the ground floor GF and my back piece for the second floor SF so I could tell them apart. I did it on a part you cut away, but this helped me from mixing them up. 26) The interior front pieces are all the same. Select a set, making sure to remember which floor it's for, and trim. 27) Trim the white strips on the side too, just leave the white pieces in the front for both pieces. 28.) I'm paranoid about mixing up the ground floor and second floor, so I like to keep that back piece with the GF on it until after I line up the hexes and check to make sure they fit the shelf. 29) Before you can see how well the ground floor pieces fit, you have to take care of the backing. Those wedges I made from the backing instead of installing it according to directions are just a bit too wide. 30) So lift them up, make sure the tiles line up properly, then cut the wedges down to size. 31) Once everything is tested out and trimmed down, affix the pieces together outside of the shelf first, laying the front piece over the white underlay for the back piece. 32) Line things up properly, checking all the edges. That white space on the closed sides is intentional, by the way, so don't let it freak you out. 33) Use your adhesive to fix things into place and then replace the wedges, making sure they still fit. 34) It should line up well on both sides, though trimming is always possible if there is overage. 35) This is how my wedges ended up on the bottom. 36) The second floor is easier, since the wedges are at the top instead of the bottom. Just trim the pieces again. 37) Line up the back piece in the back and the lay the front piece over it to measure it out. 38.) You might affix the pieces together again before inserting them in the shelf, then affix the entire piece within the shelf. 39) Make sure edges line up of course. You'll have that white space on either side of the closed walls on this floor as well. That gives room for elevators and so on. 40) Trim the remaining white strips off. 41) You should be able to get nice clean edges 42) And a beautiful finished project -- a C3G Skyscraper, playable inside and out! C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
