Solid choices! I definitely wanted another Spider at 170 anyway, since I think Miles is pretty lackluster at 170. I like the even number with Enchantress too.
Re: The Book of Spider-Man (Norn Enhanced) - Playtesting
He said he was going out of town and was running out of time so he wanted to get me this. I also gave him Spider-Man (Peter - Spider-Verse) to test with cause I think it's important to see how they kinda work with the faction (and it'll build some hype for the new playtester to be shown something extra).

Round 1. I won initiative. Enchantress and Spider-Man move next to tree for defensive cover. Deadpool attacked Enchantress, failing both times. Enchantress failed to control Spider-Man and then attacked Deadpool, dealing 2 damage. X-23 moved in. Enchantress controlled Spider-Man who moved in to special attack X-23, dealing no damage, but then he jumped over to Deadpool and dealt 3 damage to him, killing him. Enchantress then moved up and attacked X-23, dealing 2 damage. X-23 healed a wound.
Round 2. Opponent won initiative. X-23's ability triggered, but she did no damage, but she still healed. Enchantress failed to control Peter, so attacked X-23, dealing 2 damage. X-23 went next and attacked Enchantress, dealing 2 damage (reduced to 1) and healed for 1. Enchantress controlled Spider-Man, who attacked normally, dealing no damage. Enchantress also attacked normally, dealing no damage. X-23 dealt 2 damage (reduced to 1) to Enchantress. Enchantress controlled Spider-Man, who attacked normally dealing 2 damage. Then Enchantress attacked, dealing 4 damage, killing X-23.
End, Spider-Man full health, Enchantress with 2 wounds (3 life remaining).
Overall, not much happened. Need to do a larger game, but the bonding with Enchantress is pretty cool and having Spider-Man jump around to multiple people for attacks is pretty promising.
Re: The Book of Spider-Man (Norn Enhanced) - Playtesting
Thoughts on changing the class here to Warrior? He is tricked into thinking he's a Warrior and having the "Thor" Spidey work with the Asgardians would probably be more fun than having him work with Demogoblin.
Re: The Book of Spider-Man (Norn Enhanced) - Playtesting
That seems like a cool change! Unless that messes with the Enchantress synergy (Which I don't think it does), since that's more important thematically.

Not at all, she just needs someone with Range of 1 and SS.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): I won. Spider-Man full health, Enchantress with 2 wounds (3 life remaining)
Army Test
Map: X Marks the Spot (in TTS, the Marvel walls didn't load, but action didn't happen in those areas nor did line of sight, so it probably wouldn't have mattered too much)
Units:
Enchantress (330)
Spider-Man (Norn) (170)
Robot (210)
Star-Lord (250)
Overall, Robot and Star-Lord provided heavy support while Robot, Spider-Man, and Enchantress did most of the damage. Spider-Man was able to get multiple attacks in and even dealt damage with his d20 ability on the hammer attack. Spider-Man and Enchantress together were able to get some decent attacks out, as if the bonding is successful, there are 2 attacks of 5 and one of 3 with a chance to damage opponents with the d20 in one turn, which is pretty powerful but does cost 500 points for just that and can be a bit underwhelming if the roll fails and only Enchantress gets to go.
Round 1. Opponent won initiative. Zemo to move Punisher. Robot moved Star-Lord up to high ground. Zemo to move Punisher. Enchantress tried to move Peter, but failed. Zemo to move Kraven. Robot moves in with Star-Lord, causing Kraven to move up. Robot attacked Kraven, dealing 2 wounds.
Round 2. I won initiative. Robot did not move and attacked Kraven, dealing 3 damage. Star-Lord followed up with his own attack, dealing 2 damage, which killed Kraven. Zemo to move himself. Robot moved away with Star-Lord. Before this point, forgot about Star-Lord's ragtag tactics, but it didn't matter too much in the end. Zemo moved Crossbones. Robot to use Enchantress, 20, so Spidey moved in closer. Zemo to move Taskmaster to attack Star-Lord, dealing no damage, but Taskmaster got to move more because of it.
Round 3. I won initiative. Robot to use Enchantress, who failed to move Spider-Man. She attacked Crossbones and dealt 1 damage. Zemo moved Crossbones who attacked Enchantress, whiffing the first attack and dealing no damage with the second. Robot to Enchantress, failing to use Spider-Man, ran onto a shadow tile for defense. Zemo to Taskmaster to shoot Peter, dealing 2 damage. Enchantress with Spider-Thor, blocking his Hammer attack as well as his normal attack. Enchantress then attacked Crossbones and dealt 1 damage. Zemo to Crossbones, who attacked Enchantress, dealing no damage.
Round 4. Robot caused tied initiative and then won it after. Robot to Enchantress who attack Taskmaster, dealing 2 damage. Zemo to Taskmaster who Swordplayed Enchantress, dealing 1 damage. Robot moved in to the action and rolled 5 on Taskmaster, who responded with 9 defense, but died, rolling 7 skulls, 1 blank, and 1 shield. Zemo moved in for the prank to prevent anyone from doing stuff on their turns next time. He then shot Star-Lord and dealt 1 damage. Robot was next, but he was shut-out by Zemo. Crossbones dealt 2 more damage to Star-Lord and then a third with his double attack. I won initiative, but Robot couldn't do anything. Star-Lord then managed to defend against Crossbones. Robot shot at Zemo, dealing no damage. Enchantress then moved up to shoot down at Zemo, dealing 2 damage. Crossbones then went after Star-Lord, who used some sort of magic to survive again. Robot failed to damage Zemo, but then Enchantress melted him, dealing 3 damage and killing him. Punisher then shot and killed Star-Lord, and then went after Robot, but did not hurt him.
Round 5. I won initiative. Robot attacked Punisher but didn't deal damage. Enchantress to Peter, who attacked Crossbones, but didn't deal damage, but he rolled a 17 and damaged Punisher. He then ran up to Punisher and attacked him, but got 1 skull so dealt no damage. Enchantress then attacked Punisher but rolled no skulls. Crossbones attacked Spider-Man, dealing 1 damage to him. Robot attacked Punisher, and killed him (all 4 skulls rolled, and despite height and shadow, no shields with 7 dice were rolled, so Punisher lost of all his remaining health). Enchantress rolled and got 14+8 for Spider-Man, who attacked Crossbones and killed him (3 skulls out of 5, and with 5 dice, no shields were rolled). Enchantress then had nothing to do.
Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): I won. Spider-Man took 3 wounds (1 life left), Enchantress took 1 wound (4 life left), and Robot was at full health. Star-Lord was dead.
Army Test
Map: Sewer Labyrinth
Units:
Enchantress (330)
Spider-Man (Norn) (170)
vs.
Court of Owls (200)
Talon x2 (140)
Skrull Infiltrator x2 (10)
Spoiler Alert!
Spider-Man and Enchantress together did a pretty good job against the Talons, but they were able to kill off Spider-Man before they were ended so he was unable to handle the owls, which Enchantress was worse at with only a single kill possible per turn (as opposed to 10 if everything aligned perfectly for Spider-Man, which is extremely unlikely, but multiple kills of owls would not be surprising (i.e., 2 or 3)). In the end, either Enchantress had to go in or the owls had to come out of the start zone. Enchantress went in but didn't make it.
Round 1. Opponent won initiative. Talons moved up. Enchantress and Spider-Man moved up. Talons moved in and attacked Enchantress, so Spider-Man took 1 wound. Enchantress controlled Spider-Man, who damaged a Talon for 1, damaging the other Talon for 1. Enchantress then attacked a Talon, but did not damage it. Talons damaged Enchantress for 1. Spider-Man, controlled by Enchantress, missed his Hammer attack, but killed a Talon with his normal attack, which was replaced with a Skrull Infiltrator. Enchantress then attacked the remaining Talon, but failed to do damage.
Round 2. Talon respawned. Opponent won initiative. Talon attacked Enchantress, dealing 1 damage. Enchantress-Controlled Spider-Man threw a rock at the Skrull Infintrator, killing it. He then moved over to attack a Talon, but did not damage it. Enchantress then also attacked the Talon, dealing 1 damage. Talons moved up to end Spider-Man, removing 2 of his defense, but he only took 1 damage from their onslaught. Enchantress went, rolling 13 for the third time to control Spider-Man who threw his hammer at a Talon, and then wounding another Talon with a roll of 15, but it got ignored. He then dealt 2 damage to a Talon. Enchantress failed to damage a Talon. Talons attacked Spider-Man but did not damage him. Enchantress rolled a fourth 13. Spider-Man killed a Talon with a hammer, and then punched the other Talon, which did nothing to it, but Enchantress punched it harder and it died.
Round 3. I won initiative. This time Enchantress got a 9. Both heroes moved up. Talon attacked Spider-Man, but did no damage. Enchantress failed to control Spider-Man (rolled 1), so she attacked a Talon, but dealt no damage. Talon dealt 1 damage to Spider-Man. Enchantress dealt 1 damage to a Talon. Talon killed Spider-Man.
Round 4. Opponent won initiative. Talon failed to damage Enchantress. Enchantress failed to control and then failed to damage the last Talon. Talon did 1 damage to Enchantress. Enchantress did 1 damage to the Talon. Talon damaged Enchantress for 1. Enchantress couldn't control the Talon, but did at least kill it.
Round 5. I won initiative. Enchantress just stood there. So did the owls. Enchantress moved up. Owls moved around. Enchantress moved again. Owls moved around part 2.
Round 6. I won initiative. Enchantress punched an owl dead (it was replaced with a Skrull infiltrator). Enchantress defended against all 5 remaining owls. Enchantress punched another owl dead. Enchantress died from the second owl attack, rolling no shields on a 1 skull attack.
Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Opponent won. 4 Owls and a Skrull remained.
THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Spider-Man seems pretty strong against multiple low defense units, and performs moderately well against stronger units. He seems a bit squishy against hard hitting units, with only 4 life and 5 defense, but is only 170 points. Even so, at 170 points, he has 3 sources of damage per turn, which is pretty good. Against single units or those with defensive powers he does not shine, but he performs well in most other situations.
GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: He is a fun unit. Combined with Enchantress to have a possible 4 different sources of damage is pretty exciting, although both of their normal attacks are the likely candidates for inflicting wounds. When there are other fluff or weak units around, Spider-Man seems useful for cleaning them up. I could understand his points being increased, but he did not feel very over-powered to me. I may play another game or two with him to get a better idea on how he performs against larger amounts of units or without Enchantress.
Thanks for the tests. I’ll see what the other results say as well
