R1: No wounds done.
R2: Jean stops Mon-El’s throw attempt in its tracks. Vibe knocks Beast away from Mon-El. Iceman goes for an attack on Vibe, but Mon-El dashes in (thanks to Clark spending) to tank the hit. Mon-El slams Jean into a tree. Mon-El takes 1 from Iceman and 1 from Cyclops.
R3: Mon takes a bit of a beating and Clark goes after Xavier, forcing an early X reveal. Mon takes another hit from Iceman, but Clark blocks for him from Cyclops. Mon-El chucks Jean clear to the other end of the map (noticing move vs place issue here), and while he does no wounds, Kelex does get her for 1. Cyclops whiffs, but Beast kills Vibe. Kelex moves the marker to Clark, who one-shots Xavier.
R4: Mon-El chucks Beast into a Ruin for 1 wound. Mon hits Cyclops for 1. Clark kills Cyclops.
R5: Clark whiffs a defense, taking 2 wounds and losing his Order Marker to Iceman. Mon-El kills Jean. Beast takes out an OM from Mon-El.
R6: Mon throws Beast, and Clark kills Iceman (whiffed defense). Beast runs up to Mon-El, but gets punch out of the fight in response.
R7: Mon puts 3 wounds on Angel, but whiffs and dies when Angel fights back. Kelex saves the markers and Clark takes out Angel.
General thoughts: A lot of whiffs made this one feel fairly unstable if I’m being honest. Clark’s defensive stuff made him feel like more of a target this game, especially with the background threat of Kelex saving the Order Markers. Either way, I did like the way he played. Update was made partway through of switching “move” to “place” as the interaction with water spaces felt way weirder than being thrown over DOs. There was also some solid luck of avoiding Psionic Grip from Jean at key moments (such as when she was thrown to the start zone).

R1: Clark takes a beating in the early turns. He puts some wounds on Livewire.
R2: Clark takes out Livewire. XO puts 3 wounds on Clark when Clark whiffs. XO kills Clark. XO whiffs, taking 2 wounds from Supergirl’s attack. XO and Eternal Warrior trade places, and he charges down Mon-El giving him 3 wounds.
R3: XO doesn’t crack Mon-El’s defenses this time. Mon-El punches XO for 2, costing XO his second marker (first spent from own attack). XO puts 1 on Mon-El. Supergirl freezes then kills Eternal Warrior. XO kills Mon-El.
R4: The slug match goes on, and Kara barely takes out XO.
General thoughts: Very close match, with Eternal Warrior 1 marker from returning. Definitely overextended Clark some at the start, and Mon-El does feel noticeable in his probable inability to actually get a turn if an ally (such as Clark) goes down. Gonna try it with Mon-El on the front end now.
Unit Summary:

R2 T1: Flies up and fails to hurt Eternal Warrior.
R2 T2: Throws Ninjak, killing him.

R2: Kal and Kara kill XO. Ninjak puts 1 on Mon-El with Shuriken. Eternal Warrior comes back. Mon-El puts 3 on Ninjak. Kara kills Ninjak.
R3: Everyone goes after Livewire and Eternal Warrior.
R4: Livewire and Eternal Warrior go down fairly quick.
General thoughts: XO dropping quickly was real rough. I did realize I should have probably been using the special attack on Livewire a bit more, but ultimately I’m not sure if it would have mattered. He still provides value for sure, but I don’t think he plays quite like I want on the front end as opposed to the back end. I’ll try one redo.

R1: XO and Livewire put 3 on Clark. Mon can’t get in a position for a hit, but Kara puts 2 on XO. Ninjak puts 1 on Clark and Kara. Kara rolls big and puts 3 on XO, costing him a marker. Kal follows it up and costs him another marker with a 3 wound hit.
R2: Unity wins initiative, and XO and Livewire take out Kal. Ninjak puts 1 on Supergirl. Mon (with extra attack from the Death of Clark) puts 3 on XO, which is more than he can heal with his marker, killing him. Ninjak puts 2 on Mon El.
R3: Kara puts 3 on EW, then Mon kills him with a throw. Mon nearly kills Ninjak, who puts 1 each on Mon and Kara.
R4: Supergirl puts 2 on Livewire. Ninjak again puts 1 each on Supergirl and Mon-El. Mon-El kills Livewire, costing the last two Order Markers that could have brought Eternal Warrior back. Mon-El throws Ninjak into a tree, killing him.

General thoughts: This one felt much closer, and definitely could have gone either way there at the end. Had Mon-El not rolled 5 skulls on that last attack against Livewire, things very well could have shifted pretty intensely. Ninjak would have been able to steal those turns and likely could have won the day with the track record he had on offense. Even after this game, I do feel like I like how he plays a tad better on the back end. More about him setting up allies there, as Kara likes the ally next to her on her Order Marker rather than second for maximum effect. Beyond that, Mon’s attack bonus can feel extra punishing if you manage to take out anyone (obviously other than Clark) because of the setup potential there.

General Flow:
R1: Jon takes 2 early wounds from Silver Surfer. Kal puts 1 on Torch, and Surfer kills Jon.
R2: Lois swings initiative in Kryptonian favor. Kal puts 2 on Torch with an Action Shot from Jimmy, and Mon chucks Torch across the map. Kon puts 2 on Sue, and Mon finishes Torch. Reed rolls a 1 and fails to do much to Clark again. Clark puts 4 on Reed when Reed only gets 1 shield on defense. Surfer doesn’t hit Lois even with a power up, but Thing puts 3 on Clark.
R3: Clark goes for Reed and with a bonus from Jimmy kills him, Sue whiffs and dies to Mon-El. Fan 4 miss OM 1. Silver Surfer continues bad rolls, and Mon takes a wound from Thing’s rock wall defense.
R4: Clark hurts Thing and Mon gets him to 1 life left thanks to Jimmy and Kon. Silver Surfer burns 2 Oms for a big attempt on Clark, but when 1 skull is rolled, the trend of no damage just continues. Superboy finishes off Thing. Mon-El chucks the Surfer for a wound. Surfer whiffs a defense, taking 4 wounds from Clark.
R5: Surfer heals 1 off Clark, but is then killed by Mon-El when he rolls 1 shield against 5 skulls (2 markers burned didn’t help at all).

General thoughts: Well. Surfer couldn’t roll for crap here. Still, I liked the feel of Mon-El after this as well. When the big attackers can’t roll well and Mon-El is bringing a bit of insurance against Torch by chucking him far far away,

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: I’m thinking I’m cool with him having his bonding on the back end of Kal. His defensive power still makes him benefit well, and he can then set up allies like Kara for stuff like her freeze breath and really pile on if an ally goes down. He made need to come up, but for now things really did feel heavily influenced by the dice.

Eh, two of those should kind of be ignored because they were trying him on the front end of Clark's bonding, which IMO, is definitely the "stronger" of the two, even if I feel he plays better on the back. The second of those games also confirmed my suspicion that I could have played Unity Game 1 a bit better.

So the real results I'm working from are:

Game 1:
Superman III 2 wounds
Kelex Unwounded

Game 2:
Supergirl II with 4 wounds

Game 5:
Jimmy, Lois, Kelex, and Krypto unwounded.
Kal with 3 wounds
Kon with 2 wounds
Mon-El with 3 wounds.

Game 5 for sure felt like a blowout, but the dice were real real bad there. The first two games felt pretty darn close to me, and from those I feel pretty good moving him forward at 340.

If someone really feels it necessary, I can get one more game in, but I like how he plays for now, so let's move to Public Testing, updating move to place on Kinetic Throw.

The place wording lets him throw people through obstacles and such, which I think was the main reason we said Move to begin with. Thematically weird, but obviously not broken.

Yea either way. We can always tweak some stats if he's still too strong.

Which ultimately is really only weird in enclosed buildings. Not hard to think he can chuck people over a tree or anything. With there not really being collision verbiage, place helps make the straight line intent a bit cleaner as well I think.

Yea initials are fine with just solidifying where you want the design to be, IMO. We can use public testing to nitpick over 20 points either way. I could see a points bump happening if results continue to be strong there.
