I think I may have misspoke when I said

You can activate a Dalek in the back and move them forward without having to worry about getting them in an optimal position for height advantage, since Exterminate! isn't affected. Their defensive power really likes height though.

I just meant that you could move a Dalek from the back and have it use Exterminate, and it didn’t feel like you were wasting an attack like it sometimes does when you’re attacking with a squad figure who isn’t in an optimal position.

Ahh, right on. I actually think being able to move two Daleks and then attack or Exterminate with any two would be pretty cool. Something to keep in mind depending on how the tests play out.

Exterminates: 12, Succesful 2 (17%)

Magneto wins with 4/5 wounds

So the first 2 Exterminates were successful, but after that they just kept failing. If the had gotten the 30% average rolls, they would've won by quite a bit. Once again,I think this proves that 125 is a bit low for them currently. (I know it says 160 in the OP, that's my bad.)

Here's a thought; what about lowering the Exterminate range to 3?

Hmmm not really. I honestly only tested them at 125 because you mentioned it a while back. I guess I just want to strike a balance between them being deadly and being able to have a swarm of them, but as long as they end up under 200 I don't have much of a preference.

I also like this idea, I don't recall them Exterminating over too long of a range, usually they try to move in close.

I guess the question is what point range they should be at, and that'll obviously decide the power level. After giving it some thought, I think ~150 might be a good area, but I'm very interested in hearing the opinions of others about that. How powerful should Daleks be?

If we keep them at 125, clearly a nerf is needed, and lowering the Exterminate range to 3 seems like the best way to do that to me. But if the point level is raised, they might not even need a nerf. I do think it would be cool for them to be a unit that has almost no reason to ever use their normal attack, as to my knowledge that's not something that really exists yet.

There's technically reason to use their normal - if you're clearing out low defence units like Fire Ants and Moloids, the normal is probably more efficient - but yeah, 80% of the time, it's better to use Exterminate.

Using Exterminate almost all the time feels thematic to me. I think you could justify a pretty wide point range, so long as they feel menacing. My advice would be to make sure the design feels right and then cost based on that, not vice versa.
