Re: The Book of Optional Rule: Throwing Destructible Objects
Event cards are typically designed around the idea that the battlefield conditions change for both parties and could potentially benefit both parties, however you have the distinct advantage of being able to build your army around those conditions going in, which is significant.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Optional Rule: Throwing Destructible Objects
Seems like some of the rules you have written out can and should be covered in the movement of figures larger than 2 hexes rules (which should be completed before taking this on, since they're relevant to these, IMO).
I'm not sure how well this line holds up to rules scrutiny: "Note: Because Throwing Destructible Objects at figures is neither a Normal or Special Attack, special powers and glyphs that specifically work for or against Normal or Special Attacks, or both, cannot be used by a figure when rolling Attack dice for a thrown Destructible Object or when rolling Defense dice against a thrown Destructible Object." I almost think it should be considered a normal attack made by the DO? I'm just not sure how well vetted that particular passage is or how easy it is to interpret in practice. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Optional Rule: Throwing Destructible Objects
this is a solid idea by the way. I believe that is something Grish also did to an extent for similar reasons and to make it simple.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Optional Rule: Throwing Destructible Objects
Hmm, making it like the Bat Shurikens where it changes your range and attack numbers could be an interesting way to do it. Deadly Shot figures love it, obviously, but not sure that many of them have SS (actually, no SS figures with Deadly Shot or Deadly Strike, which is nice).
Could do it like so: When a figure with the Super Strength special power adjacent to a Destructible Object attacks with a normal attack, you may change the Range number on its card Army Card to the Range number associated with that Destructible Object's size and may add the Attack number associated with that Destructible Object's size to that figure's Attack number for this attack. Small Range 6 Attack 0 Medium Range 5 Attack 1 Large Range 4 Attack 2 Huge Range 3 Attack 3 C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Optional Rule: Throwing Destructible Objects
Nice angle. Also you could build that into the card itself to have a little more flexibility with the numbers.

Re: The Book of Optional Rule: Throwing Destructible Objects
Well I was thinking this would be a draftable Event Card kind of thing, so I think you'd want the numbers to be connected with that. Also there'd be no clean way to back fill them on existing DOs.

Re: The Book of Optional Rule: Throwing Destructible Objects
I like static numbers based on size and not adding to existing attack numbers. K.I.S.S.

Re: The Book of Optional Rule: Throwing Destructible Objects
Sure. Could do it like this, then:
When a figure with the Super Strength special power adjacent to a Destructible Object attacks with a normal attack, you may change the Range and Attack numbers on its Army Card to the Range and Attack numbers associated with that Destructible Object's size. Before rolling dice for the attack, place that Destructible Object on an empty space adjacent to the defending figure. After that attack, the Destructible Object receives one wound for each skull you rolled. Small Range 5 Attack 2 Medium Range 4 Attack 3 Large Range 3 Attack 4 Huge Range 2 Attack 5 C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
