My first thoughts on these guys - taken from the thread over at PHG.com

They seem very weak to champions to me - I guess that's where Counter Summon comes up. Even so, having to save up magic to summon your own (higher cost) commons + Your own champs + magic for counter summon seems like a tall order to me. They definitely have the potential to really control not only the pace of the battle but the whole map in general, but getting that set up off the ground is going to be one hell of a task.

Though I would say the very same thing about the cloaks and the vanguards (Not that they play the same - in that their style of play while cool is near impossible to implement successfully) if I didn't know what their event cards were. Without stuff like cloak of shadows, raid and assassinate I'd be down on the cloaks for being way to hard to implement hit and run tactics and without cards like Divine Strength, Summoning Surge and Holy Judgment I'd say that the slow rolling defensive line of the Vanguard is just to costly to try and set up. The real heart of any given faction deck is it's summoner and that summoners events - they dictate more than anything else (particularly when you start deck-building) how the faction will most effectively play.

Greatest faction ever. Done. No contest. New favorite faction for me. I don't even care what the events are at ALL I can already just see this as being great. How are you going to hold off a rush of one magic, two life commons, being supported by a beefy summoner to attack at 2, possibly 3 on your side.

Answer: You're dead. Already. You took too long.

The problem with them is that you have to have Sunderved towards the front of the pack to make those commons able to deal any damage really, and that exposes him to attacks.

That probably means I'll suck with the Vargath, since I suck with the CG and CL - the other 2 factions that really need to do stuff with their summoner. And Sneeks and Vlox can get out of trouble. I don't know that Sunderved can (unless one of those events lets him).

Their low initial attack is their weakness but man, talk about a tidal wave of tough figures to charge through and force an opening with.

Do you mean Knocking an enemy into the path of Trample? Or actually knocking Torodin through other Units? Because I don't think you can do the latter (Knock Around can only move units through clear spaces).
