Entry 1

This is my first custom on heroscapers, but I am not new to creating custom cards. I really liked the creativity required to put a turkey in the game of heroscape. I felt a giant turkey, while being exceptionally awesome, just didn’t feel realistic enough for Heroscape (the irony…).
My custom is a Common, just like the Fortress Wall, and is considered to be “Small”. It is a Delectable Creature (Delectable means tasty if you didn’t know; I used a thesaurus). Since it isn’t a normal Army Card, it must be used in a scenario. The scenario could be as simple as starting it in the center of the map. The custom weakens other all units with its “Wild Turkey Hunt” power by sending the other units in a struggle to kill the Thanksgiving Dinner. He is tough to catch with Presidential Pardon and Startled Flight, but not impossible. Once he is killed, its executioner receives the prize of the other players losing their order markers; therefore timing and caution are essential. This custom will make a great piece to use in a Thanksgiving Scenario Game at the family get together and truly brings out the holiday’s character.

When the mighty Valkryie Aquilla summoned Indians to build her army, Something happened that she did not expect.A small group of Turkeys that the Indians had been Stalking were accidentally transported to Valhalla.The Turkeys ran mindlessly around Aquilla's camp until they stumbled across a wellspring.When they Drank from it they grew magically in size and then disappeared into the forest.

This card is not meant to offend anyone, especially not the winner of the last contest. However many people have been voting ONLY based on theme. Which your not supposed to do. So this is mostly too make a point. If you agree with me then DO NOT vote for this custom. If you agree than vote for the most thematic AND balanced/Compatible card. I don't want any pity votes either. Please don't vote for this card unless you DON'T agree with me and your voting because of its awesome theme.

On entry #5,How do you draft it? is it randomly placed?or can you draft as many as you want since they're free?

I think #1 brings out the thanksgiving feeling of pilgrims running around trying to kill a turkey best. 3,4, and 5 had point issues (4 was kinda funny).

I almost voted for 2, but it was more a turkey custom than Thanksgiving custom. Nice customs all though.

Did you even read number 3? It costs nothing and is never drafted.there is no reason the points are messed up.

My apologies, I'm not sure why I wrote that. I specifically remember that card and my reasons for voting the way I did. Here is my revised review for #3.

3 has some very neat mechanics in it, and it seems like it would be a blast to play. The theme of wild turkeys running around and getting eaten is great. The reason I voted against it was all because of theme. Personally, I don't imagine a bunch of turkeys attacking back on Thanksgiving, even if it is random. I picture one single turkey running around wide-eyed like you see in cartoons trying to avoid getting roasted. I'm sure others view this theme differently, but those are my reasons.

My sincere apologies to the designer. I do read every card thoroughly before voting and I simply made a mistake when typing a response here. I always enjoy reading criticisms for my customs, but if that should not be discussed in these voting threads I will not do so for future holiday contests.
