Thanks for the Initial, Lazy Orang! After reading through them and seeing Shang on the losing end twice and a single win with probably the greatest healer in the meta-game nearly dead as his only win, I can't see raising him. Can I ask why you felt the bump was necessary?
I propose Shang Tsung move to Public Playtesting at 280-290.. Leaning 280 personally.

He just felt strong from his own performance. In the third game, his biggest loss, he was clearly his team's Man of the Match - it was the rest of them (especially Goro) who let him down. That being said, 280 wouldn't bother me at all. In fact, that was the only game he really had a stellar performance, looking at it (though the others weren't bad), it probably just weighed heavier in my mind since I'd literally just finished the battle when I wrote that. On reflection, I'm leaning 280 as well, now.


EDIT: I've suddenly realised I played him wrong. I'm so, so sorry! I thought that Soul Steal was instead of attacking, not after moving and before attacking! That actually makes him a lot stronger if he can heal and inflict auto-wounds and then barrage away with Flaming Skulls. I feel like he's pushing 300 now, but, honestly, I wonder if it's worth tweaking him to making it instead of attacking, since he felt so good here?

Yeah, that's my thought too - Soul Steal is very valuable and absolutely worth giving up an attack for at times. 9+ and you heal a wound, inflict one and gain access to their powers? That plus an attack feels too much in retrospect. This way you have to think about when you want to go for it.


Also, one other little change I highly recommend - since this guy turns into whoever he's mimicking, physically, I suggest that, as well as mimicking stats and powers, he also mimics their Size and Height. Thematically better and would have a handful of fun interactions.

Not the worst idea at times, but remember that's taking at least one turn to strip their soul and inflicts a wound on your own figure. Soul Stealing your own figure's is definitely worth doing, but shouldn't be done lightly. If you're facing, say, Graviton, though, it's definitely worth it.
