Re: The Book of Jean Grey
No falling damage. As Sir G said, you are rolling for damage due to the throw and that covers the thematic falling damage that could apply.
Figures aren't being pushed off a castle wall from Jean, they are being carried in a sense and put down hard, which is why they could get wounded. Re: The Book of Jean Grey
I know I ask all the time why can't this person do this or that, I really thought Jean Gray flew.

Also, her Telekinesis is psuedo-flying. Furthermore, continuities between comics vary. |

Re: The Book of Jean Grey
On Telekinesis, do you add 1 for every adj. Telepath to both rolls or just the first one? It seems to read as though only the first roll is modified and the second one is not, but I wanted to double check what the intent here was to make sure I wasn't missing out on adding to her 2nd roll.

Re: The Book of Jean Grey
I'm pretty sure it's only for the first part. There is nothing leading to it including the 2nd part. I would suspect that if it were meant to include both, there would had been a line saying to the effect that for each d20 roll, add 1 for each Telepath that is adjacent to Jean.

Re: The Book of Jean Grey
Just reading through some strategies in the Classic side and came across one called Batter Up! Seems like a Jean Grey, Mystique I, Professor X team would be pretty brutal...Reveal on Professor and Jean tosses enemy into Mystique for Engagement strike, then Jean gets to rolls for damage from the throw then she gets to attack, then Mystique's turn and she uses disengage to move away and uses her ranged attack on the figure and is set up for another engagement strike later.
Of course throw Sage into the army and you get both the Telepath bonus and the D20 bonus to both Jean and Mystique for a measly 755 total points. Of course that is if I'm not remembering the whole place vs move argument, and if I am we have at least one FAQ that will need updating... Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Jean Grey
I've thrown figures into engagement with Mystique via Magneto many times, her d20 roll is fairly high such that you don't often get that extra wound from her but it can be fun to try. In my experience, Jean Grey scores wounds with her toss at a fairly low rate as well. In the end that is why they are lower cost units at 165 & 180 points while Magneto is 375.

Re: The Book of Jean Grey
Haha, That was a nasty team
@dok
. My brother wanted to run classic scape with C3G a few times. Throwing Braxas into that mess was no fun for anybody.
I do prefer Magneto and Graviton to Jean. She is way cheaper, but not nearly as consistent. I also enjoy Jean AND Graviton on the same team with Hydroman, Icicle, and Captain Cold. |

Hey weebaer. Good to see you.
I despise Gravitron. Not quite 'rats' level hatred but pretty much on top of my C3G hate list. Ghost Rider for the win! |
