Alright, this is getting annoying! (Can't access a webpage!)
As you may know, The Menagerie now has it's own forum... the problem is... I can't get into it! Renquist's given me a lot of help trying to get in, and I give him a big thumbs up for it... but nothing.

I'm working on Windows XP, Internet Explorer 9, I believe. The website is: http://www.themenagerie.freeforums.org/, which is a part of http://www.freeforums.org/.

First I tried to open it... didn't work. So I took down my firewall, and that didn't work. I PM'd Renquist, and he said no one else said they couldn't make it in... I went to school, and when I got back, it didn't work again. Put Internet Security on low, still couldn't get in. Allowed cookies, couldn't get in. He suggested to ping it, and then trace the route... here's the results:

I get 74.86.150.90 when pinging www.freeforums.org.

I don't think there is a IE 9.0 out yet but to check you can open Help then About Internet Explorer to find out the version you are using.

Try to ping just the host name www.freeforums.org and see what you get without the http:// and the / at the end..

You can't access the site at all from home, or you can't log into the site?

Have you tried it from a different browsers? Firefox, Opera?
Have you cleared your cache?

I get 74.86.150.90 for http://themenagerie.freeforums.org/

and

74.86.48.85 for http://www.freeforums.org/

Can you add either of these IPs to your trusted list?

Do you have Parental Control turned on with your Security? You'd be surprised what sites get blocked by parental control

I can't access the site at all. It gives me the old "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." I cleared my history earlier, if that's what you mean by cache.

I downloaded Firefox for the express purpose of getting on, and it didn't work. Added both of those to my trusted list, and I don't have any parental controls installed.

Going to the numbered sites DOES work, but the page is all text, and I can't access any other areas.

Contact your ISP and tell them the problems you are having accessing the site. Sometimes they are blocking sites unknowingly due to the filtering appliances and/or software they are using. It's worth a try at least.

Your ISP should be able to resolve the problem Johnny. I've been working it at my end and the freeforums support team have suggested the same thing.

Seems you're an anomaly right now....
