Drax with 4/5 wounds.

Super close matchup. Nebula got dominated early on, giving the Fighters the nice advantage. Drax bounced back with double attacks and managed to take out Iron Fist. Spider-Man pulled Drax out of Star-Lord's reach, and eventually Spider-Man would kill Drax but Drax stayed in the fight due to Not Dead Yet. Drax and Star-Lord double team Cage, taking him out. Spider-Man keeps dodging Drax's attacks, and chipping away at Drax and Star-Lord. Firestar is taken out by Star-Lord and Drax, then Spider-Man takes out Star-Lord. Drax manages to finish off Spider-Man with the double attack granted by Vengeful Fury.

Doesn't get much closer than that and the recap makes it sound like a good game.

For build suggestions the idea I had would be to draft him with Grundy. Lead with Grundy and let him die and come back a few times, then Drax gets the boost every time he dies.

VENGEFUL FURY
When any other Unique Hero you control is destroyed, you must place any unrevealed numbered Order Markers on Army Cards in your army onto this card. For the rest of the round, when Drax attacks, he may roll one additional attack die.

RELENTLESS ATTACK
After Drax attacks an adjacent figure with his normal attack, roll the 20-sided die. You may choose one Unique Hero you control within 5 clear sight spaces of Drax and add 1 to the roll for each Wound Marker on the chosen figure's card. If you roll 12 or higher, Drax may move up to 1 space and attack again with his normal attack. Drax cannot attack more than three times in a single turn.

It's sort of a mashup of the 2 main directions we were aiming for. Reason I bring it up, is the current write-up has some conflict with Nebula, on whether you want to take the turn with her after Drax fails to inflict a wound on his first turn, or you instead take a chance at rolling for Drax's additional turn. This also puts more emphasis on hoping your allies stay alive as they'll enable more attacks when they are vs. when they were just destroyed.

Just figured I'd throw out the alternate but similar take. I'm fine either way, but ultimately am trying to synergize with the group the best.

I like Relentless Attack better than Relentless charge since it's bound by adjacent normal attacks and not a second turn. I'm just thinking of things like the Cosmic Cube. Getting a second full turn and all.

As for the first one. I have no opinion. I trust your instincts.

Good changes for Nebula.

I'd hesitate to bring in Nebula too much because, outside of the very end of one movie, she's almost universally a villain with little to no interaction with the Guardians or, well, any heroic characters.

But in a vacuum I think that's fine, even if it makes Vengeful Fury feel kind of... vestigial?

Alternatively, I suppose we could just go without the d20 roll, as we were originally proposing:

This would be more consistent, and probably gets the desire more across to go after Drax directly without harming his team. But if you do harm his team, he's going to attack even more(ala Thing). If you kill one of his team members, he goes nuts taking the remaining turns and hits harder.

Drawback being he won't get any bonus attacks on his own if nobody else is within range or nobody else is wounded. So as long as we feel that accomplishes a good pairing with Star-Lord, which encouraging the enemy to not hit Star-Lord being one of the main goals, I can see the appeal.
