Yeah, that played into the decision on where to begin testing her at. I was a bit surprised at how well that number has held up but it seems to be working. Toss in Wonder Woman or Red Tornado for 300 points and I think you have a pretty solid 1000 point army ready to go.

I've been testing the spells out and got in 3 more tests with Enchantress. I ran the Enchantress Lizard combo as well as two other lower point cost bonding choices and found some pretty interesting options. She went 2-1 with both wins being by the narrowest of victories and the loss being the most lopsided of the 3 games.

- What should be the unit's point value? 330 seems like a good fit

- Give a brief preview. Idea here is to have Kirigi be both Enchantress’ Bodyguard and bond with the Hand Ninja. Kirigi can pull figures adj. to him, Enchantress, & some Ninja, and then the Waking Nightmare spell can generate a bunch of LEA’s. The Ninja can also be used to screen off Enchantress, buying her time to find the right opportunity for her to cast her other two spells.

The two different bonding options was fairly effective as I could split up my OM between the Hand Ninja and Enchantress with Kirgi being pretty active in this battle. I didn't want to transfer any wounds to Kirgi though as his Undead Resilience requires him to survive when he gets hit so transferring 1W at a time would have hurt his chance to survive and ignore wounds. That decision paid off as the Wrecking Crew seems to repeatedly dealt 2-3W to him and he stuck around for quite a while as a result. The Hand Ninja did a decent job blocking off and screening for Enchantress, who managed to cast all 3 of her spells, but also ended up feeding the WC bonding chain with easy +4 bonuses to the roll. Game came down to the wire though and could have gone either way at the end.


Who won and how many wounds did they have? Enchantress w/4W won!

Army Test 2

- Does it pass, Yes or No? yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 330 still seems to be holding up well here.

- Give a brief preview. Thinking I may have Enchantress cast Enchant on her Bodyguard, Lizard, here to see how increasing the bonding odds with a figure that can heal themselves works out. The mutants have a strong healer themselves in opposition in Wolverine, along with a Fast Ball Special option in Colossus, who bonds with Lockheed. Wasp will hopefully be able to spring into action when an opponent gets down to 1 life and end them, if not then at least she can hopefully be a decoy to distract a fully enraged Wolverine away from Enchantress.

Enchantress didn't have the best of luck with her Charms in this one and Wolverine is just brutal when firing on all cylinders. She was able to bond with Lizard twice so he could regenerate though and that kept Wolverine away from Enchantress for a little while. I wonder if I would have been better off attacking with him though as Enchantress couldn't put enough W's on Wolverine with her single attack to finish him off even though he was close to going down multiple times. Perhaps if I would have just opted for the extra offense the two of them could have finished Wolverine off and the Lizard could have regenerated later but you never know what the dice would have done.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? Colossus w/2W won.

Army Test 3

- Does it pass, Yes or No? yes

- What should be the unit's point value? 330 is still feeling pretty good.
- Give a brief preview. Idea here is to use the spell to lock down a melee fighter and then double hit that figure at range while it can’t move. If the Scarlet Spider can score a hit, it adds another layer of movement blocking in their path.

Enchantress & Scarlet Spider took out Ghost Rider in short order in this one, with GR only dealing 1W to Enchantress before going down, and it seemed like they were going to dominate the match but then Rhino put up a really good fight and it ended up being a close one. Rhino tried to attack Ben early but soon gave up on that idea since he couldn't get past the d20 roll. So he instead focused on just attacking Enchantress, who transferred the first 4W he dealt to her to Ben before taking them herself. Enchantress tried to take control of the weak minded Rhino several times but didn't really have much success. She also struggled to deal any W's to Rhino with her normal attack, it was Ben and his SA that ended up doing most of the damage to him.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? Ben w/4W & Enchantress II w/3W won!

With those 3 tests I feel we have done a pretty good job of exploring a fairly wide range of her bonding options with the 330 point cost holding up quite well. So I propose we move Enchantress II to Final Editing.

330 seems reasonable to me as well. I had some initial concerns about her ability to manage wounds, but they haven't really been born out by testing. The relative unreliability of her bonding seems to mitigate that.
