If you want to try more of a 'gateway' RPG, I can highly recommend Banner Saga - great narrative, great characters, meaningful decisions, fun combat mechanics, a weird sort of difficulty where progressing through the game is easy (only a few times does it ever give you a game over) but the challenge is in screwing up as little as possible (keeping people alive, maintaining supplies, trying to make the right decisions - you're basically muddling through 90% of the time on first playthrough, completely unsure of yourself and just hoping you're not screwing things up, which is brilliant because that's the state most of the characters are in!) and a campaign that's short enough to not suck your time and leave you wanting more - the entire trilogy will probably take you less time than most RPGs! Highly rate that game trilogy, right up with Planescape as one of my favourite games ever. |

Banner Saga is definitely on my "check it out sometime" list. I hear so many good things about that one.
I think my favorite RPG would probably be Fallout: New Vegas. I must have hundreds of hours put into that game. A bit of a clunky mess on the gameplay side, but Obsidian knows how to do RPG writing right in my book. |

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
Here's another one. In the Hitman games, Agent 47 was cloned and trained to be the perfect assassin. Using disguises is a key part of the game to sneak around and get the target alone, because 47 doesn't survive long in a shootout.
Agent 47 Clone Unique Hero Assassin Professional Medium 5 LIFE = 4 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 5 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 2 110 points HITMAN CONTRACT At the start of the game, choose an opponent's Unique Hero to be Agent 47's Target. Agent 47 adds one automatic skull when attacking his Target. DISGUISE If Agent 47 ends his turn unengaged and did not attack this turn, you may place a Disguise Marker on this card. If the Disguise Marker is on this card, Agent 47 cannot be attacked by, targeted or chosen for special powers by, or take any leaving engagement attacks from any opponent's figure. After Agent 47 attacks or inflicts one or more wounds, if he is within clear sight of an opponent's figure, remove the Disguise Marker from this card. FIBERWIRE ASSASSINATION Instead of attacking, if the Disguise Marker is on this card, you may choose an adjacent figure with 1 life remaining and roll the 20-sided die. On a roll of 7 or higher, inflict one wound on the chosen figure. Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
Agent 47 is one I’ve always thought it would be cool to see! I’d like to see his disguise mechanic more closely mirror the games. He should be able to kill someone and disguise himself as them. I also think Professional would be a cool class for him.

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
That's a cool idea! Professional is a good class too. I know there are Assassin synergies out there, so the class choice could be dependent on whether 47 should have synergies or not.

Sorry, I meant personality. I like him as a Professional Assassin.

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
Oh that works too. Ruthless doesn't really fit 47 anyway (he is ruthless, but not evil like ruthless implies).

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
The biggest thing about the Assassin class would be turn bonding with the Hand Ninja. So base the class decision on whether or not that's desirable.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
I guess I just don’t see it as much of a choice...he’s an assassin through-and-through. It would be like making James Bond something other than an Agent because you don’t want him working with Nick Fury.
