Re: NM24 - Process
It says "you may" so it becomes optional to choose a figure. You could add this if you really wanted to clarify. Instead of moving normally, you may choose one adjacent figure and/or one space within 6 clear sight spaces of Nightcrawler. Place Nightcrawler on the chosen space. You must place the chosen figure on an empty, adjacent, same-level space to Nightcrawler to move it with Bamf! Figures moved by Bamf! never take leaving engagement attacks. Re: NM24 - Process
My original wording took care of the order quite nicely I thought. Summarizing: choose to move normally or with Bamf! If moving with Bamf! you may choose a figure. Now choose a space. Move Nightcrawler to the space. If you chose a figure, it moves adjacent to Nightcrawler. No leaving engagement attacks.
With that style, you don't actually pick a space until the figure has been selected, and then it deposits itself, Theracus style, after the move. At this point, if neither of the two versions of the cards posted will work, and if the separating into two powers wouldn't fix any problems, then I'd say my intended version of Nightcrawler won't function in Heroscape, at least as how others interpret how it functions. |

Re: NM24 - Process
I think we're having more of a linguistics problem than a mechanics problem, but if you wish to withdraw your card because our suggestions aren't helping you to achieve your vision for it I would certainly understand.

I still don't think I see where the problem is exactly...

Re: NM24 - Process
He has a very specific textual style to which he wants the card to adhere. It is a good style for explaining the power, but it has mechanical issues that make it less universally accessible and is a style-break from the way other powers are written.

Bu I don't understand how this does not follow that style...

Re: NM24 - Process
Instead of moving Nightcrawler normally, you may choose any empty space that is within 6 clear sight spaces of Nightcrawler. Place Nightcrawler on the chosen space. Before moving Nightcrawler you may choose a small or medium figure adjacent to Nightcrawler. After you move Nightcrawler, place the chosen figure adjacent to Nightcrawler. When Nightcrawler starts to Bamf, if he or any other figure moved by Bamf are engaged they will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: NM24 - Process
Getting there. I'd sure like to see the figure placed onto an empty same-level space though since it allows him to Bamf! opponents.

Nightcrawler is already protected from leaving engagement attacks because of Disengage. |

Since there were no comments or corrections on the last wording of Bamf! I offered, here is the card with the current wording:
