Machinekng's Pictured Battle Reports/Predict the Victor

I've admired A_Train's and Caraki's battle reports for a long time and I decided it was time to make my own.

This match is between me and my brother X-ton, a new member on this site. The match takes place on Marro Warrens by Darkmage7a.


Machinekng's Army:


Marro Stingers x3, Krug, Krav Maga Agents

(one stinger squad is proxied by a squad of drones)

X-ton's Army:


Deepwyrm Drow x2, Pelloth, Outhkurik, Isamu
(one drow squad is proxied by Capuns)

I say X-ton. Those Drow can easily blow up some Krav, and Othkurik's Acid breath is useful for the stingers.. With the shadow and swamp, Othkurik and the Drow have a big advantage.

I say machineking. If you can use krug to wipe out Othukirk, I believe X-ton's lack of range should play to your advantage

Round 1 Initiative: Machinekng 16 X-ton 11

Machinekng 1: I move out the Krav, moving 2 around the pillars while the third darts for the glyph



X-ton 1: X-ton moves Othkurik over the pillar near his start zone.

Machinekng 2: I move Krug out into the open, hoping to draw fire from Othkurik



X-ton 2: X-ton moves a squad of Drow out around the central hive.

Machinekng 3: I move up a squad of Stingers

X-ton 3: X-ton moves his second squad of Drow to back up Othkurik

Round 1 Overview



Round 2 Machinekng 16 X-ton 10

Machinekng 1: I move up a second squad of Stingers out of my start zone.

X-ton 1: Othkurik moves up and uses Acid Spray on one of my Stingers and a Krav Maga. The Agent dodges but the stinger is down for the count.



Machinekng 2: I move my Agents to seize both glyphs. I revealed a glyph of Ivor and a glyph of Dagmar. My first Krav attacks Othkurik but whiffs it. My second Krav attacks a Drow, but its attack is blocked by Hide in Darkness



X-ton 2: X-ton moves his first squad of drow adjacent to my agents and attacks, taking one out.



Machinekng 3: I move Krug up to Othkurik and score two wounds against the black dragon.



X-ton 3: X-ton moves up Pelloth out of his start zone.

Round 2 Overview


Round 3 Machinekng 9 X-ton 1
X-ton complains about his d20, as the round begins.

Machinekng 1: I move up some stingers, roll an 11 for Stinger Drain, and take down another Drow.



X-ton 1: Othkurik score three wounds against Krug using lurking ambush.

Machinekng 2: Now enraged, Krug destroys Othkurik utterly.



X-ton’s second marker was on Othkurik

Machinekng 3: I take a turn with my stingers and roll a 17 for stinger drain. My stingers destroy another Drow.


X-ton 3: X-ton’s drow destroy another agent.

Round 3 Overview


Round 4 Machinekng 12 X-ton 2

Machinekng 1: Krug knocks out a drow while the second succeeds on a hide in the darkness roll.




X-ton 1: Pelloth uses Lloth’s wrath to destroy a stinger.



Machinekng 2: I roll 14 for stinger drain, and take Pelloth out of the picture.



X-ton 2: The drow move and score two more wounds on Krug.

Machinekng 3: Krug smites another one of the Deepwyrm drow.



X-ton 3: The last remaining drow kills a stinger.



Round 4 Overview


Round 5 Machinekng 6 X-ton 14

X-ton 1: The last Dow moves and destroys another stinger.

Machinekng 1: I roll an 8 for stinger drain, doing nothing, but the drow uses hide in the darkness, twice.



X-ton 2: Isamu moves in and kills a Stinger.



Machinekng 2: My stinger kills the last drow, while another two attack Isamu, activating Vanish on both occasions.

X-ton 3: Isamu moves next to a stinger, and whiffs on its attack roll.

Machinekng 3: Krug begins to chase Isamu.



Round 6 Machinekng 12 X-ton 14

X-ton 1: Isamu fails to attack another stinger

Machinekng 1: Krug attacks Isamu, who vanishes.



X-ton 2: Isamu kill another stinger. The little red dude is on a roll.

Machinekng 2: Krug moves to chase Isamu.



X-ton 3: Isamu fails another attack on a stinger.

Machinekng 3: A squad of stingers swarms Isamu and finishes him off.



Post game thoughts:

I have to admit that my army was superior, and my dice were on fire, but X-ton did make several mistakes throughout the match. I also learned that Krug is a beast, in so many ways.

Next Match:

This match is a team match between Me and my sister, Rach, and two armies controlled by X-ton. It takes place on Broken Skyline by Longscaper.

Hmm. An interesting Battke, x-ton made many mistakes. Othukurik should have gone for the Krav with lurking ambush, and he should have moved Pelloth and the Dorw up together so Lolths wrath would be more affected. He also should have kept Pelloth and the Drow on shadow tiles.

I say Machine King and Rach win the next one, X-ton's armies don't look too good.
