Was a very long game with Swamp Things team coming out on top. Team 2 having limited range caused Team 1 to dig in with Poison Ivy and play defensively.

R2 - Obsidian Starts out the round by attacking Electro dealing 1 wound. Electro then attacks Obsidian dealing 2 wounds. Frankenstein engages Electro taking 2 wounds from Electric Skin. Sandman attacks Obsidian dealing 2 wounds. Ivy ends the round doing 1 wound to Electro with Plant Animation.
R3 - Frankenstein starts out by dealing 2 Wounds to Electro destoying him. Sandman finishes off Obsidian dealing 2 wounds. Frankenstein ends the round dealing 2 wounds to Sandman.
R4 - Frankenstein starts the round finishing Sandman dealing 3 wounds. Winter Soldier destroys a Animated Vine. Killer Croc does 1 wound to Frankenstein.

R8 - Round is nothing but Mysterio trying to attack Ivy dealing 1 wound in the end.
R9 - First turn Ivy uses Pheromone Seduction on Mysterio rolling 18.
Game was way more one sided then I thought it was going to be. Ivy taking both Winter Soldier and Mysterio was key.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Pretty solid for his cost. Makes a great combo with Poison Ivy I and the Animated Vines.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Really enjoyed Swamp Thing, although my opponents didn't. He constatly rejects movment and paired with Frankenstein and Ivy makes him hard to beat. I ended up using him more as support in both games. Guarding Ivy and only attacking when enemies get to close. But he still has his use even then using Jungle Plants and Evergreen to stop enemies from even gettting in range. Only complaint I have is rolling Blanks to bring back the Plants, might have just been bad luck on my end though.

2 big wins, but I'm not sure the enemy builds in both games were up to the same competitive levels Team Green was. Seems like there wasn't a huge amount of love for the Ivy I combo, so that's worth noting.

Batgirl fights off Grasping Vines and advances.
Poison Ivy advances.
Batman advances. Batgirl does as well, though both of their paths are altered by jungle pieces. Tim is grasped by vines.

Nightwing, Batgirl, and Damian all advance.

Round 2: Initiative Batfamily. Nightwing advances, Batgirl grapples, and Nightwing KO’s a Jungle Piece. Tim moves next to an Evergreen Tree, but can’t hit it.

Unit Summary: The combination of Swamp Thing, Poison Ivy, and Floronic Man had a lot of potential here, but I failed to fill them out well, Swamp Thing couldn’t roll any blanks, and Ivy fell way too fast. Swamp Thing is very stalwart and hard to kill, though. If it weren’t for Nightwing’s Shock Batons, I think Swamp Thing had a chance to solo the enemy. This army wasn’t killer, but Swamp Thing is.

Unit Summary: In retrospect, I probably should’ve used Swamp Thing as more of a screen for Ivy here and given her more chances at Plant Animation rather than going for the Pheromone Seduction home run. The big difference, though, was that Green Arrow went ape on the difficult to kill swamp monsters and they lacked the range and mobility to hit him first. Swamp Thing’s big attacks and tree movements were useful here, and he was very tanky as usual. I’m not sure what his best army build will end up being, but he felt solid enough for his points.

General Flow:
R1: Slow roll for the mutants as the Green Team really slows down their movement. They kill some plants, but Swampy works to be putting them back. Ivy deals 3 with Plant Animation, but the Wolverines heal back those wounds pretty easily.
R2: Ivy plants a wound on Nightcrawler. Man Bat fails to defend himself and dies to the Wolverines, but Frank responds in kind, slaying the Nightcrawler in one swing. Xavier uses the X to protect himself from the Swamp Thing. Wolverine disengages (no swipe attempted) to go after Swamp Thing, but fails to hurt the Creature. Swampy is nearly killed by the mutants.
R3: Ivy goes first and manages to kill Xavier with Plant Animation, wounding both Wolverines in the process. The mutants miss a turn and Frank and Swampy team up to kill Logan. Mutants miss that turn with Logan. Frank kills Wolverine.
General thoughts: Frank was the real stand out here. Dragging him forward quickly did a lot, and the movement limitation provided by Swamp Thing and Ivy made it really easy to keep Frank in Engagement.
Unit Summary:

General Flow:
R1: Armies advance some. Ivy takes 2 from Torch.
R2: Frank rolls all skulls getting 3 early wounds on Reed. Reed whiffs and takes two wounds from Man-Bat carrying him away, dying.
(This would nuke the round for the Fan 4, so let’s play it as if he took Thing)
Thing still whiffs, taking 2 wounds. Torch burns Man-Bat for 2, then hits him for 1 more. Thing kills Man-Bat. Reed hits Frank for 2, but he ignores them. Ivy BARELY misses taking over Thing (a 17 rolled over to a 1). She puts a wound on Reed and Sue with Animation. Reed rolls a 1 and puts 1 wound on Frank. Two attacks of 10 dice from Thing only result in a single wound on Frank (2 skulls each time). Torch is stuck in place, and throws a fireball at Frank getting him to 4 total wounds. Reed puts 2 on him that he ignores.
R3: Thing manages to kill Frank. Ivy puts a wound on Torch, Sue, and Reed, killing Reed.
R4: Johnny kills Swamp Thing with Flame On (taking 1 in the process).
R5: Torch kills Ivy.
General thoughts: Hm. He’s a weird piece. The faction he’s in moves a little slowly, so he’s a definite help there. Slowing foes down was nice as they focused on killing the bushes to not get locked down, but eventually the dice were so evidently bad that they didn’t have to care.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: He’s probably fine as is. The Ivy combo is indeed annoying to play against, especially because neither of them really have a ton of offensive potential. So if you take out the heavy hitters it just becomes a slow, mostly unproductive fight.

Thanks LV! I guess my ultimate question is this - does he seem fun? It's pretty clear the PI combo is not the most fun, but it also doesn't seem like it's unfair. Feels like you had a pretty lukewarm reception to the unit in general though, which raises an alarm for me. I'm fine with one small power combo, but if the unit doesn't feel like a valuable addition to the game as a whole I want to stop and reconsider things. (Guess I'll ask the same question of Bats as well.)

I like him. He’s very tanky but not unfun. I mostly look forward to having more reasons to play him in heroic builds, which I hope (?) is part of the plan?

I’m hoping(!) that with a few more designs, all these units can be galvanized into a decent-enough little faction. The interactions he had with both Zatannas felt fun at least.
