Might be a good idea to replay the tests with all 4 finalized turtles and then add Splinter to their team and a comparable figure to the other. That way we have results we can compare against.

These were those tests if someone wants to do that:
Ninja Turtles vs Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Spider-Man (C3G) (700)
Ninja Turtles, Ragdoll (800) vs Wrecking Crew (800)
Ninja Turtles vs. Kirigi, Elektra, Boomerang, 3x Hand Ninja (715 points)
Ninja Turtles, Martian Manhunter (1000) vs. Professor X, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman, Angel (1,000 points)

Interesting idea, though I'd avoid the Spider-Man and Wrecking Crew builds on account of high-variance.

I was going to try to crank out some Heavy Hitter tests for this chap tonight, but the program's not wanting to load properly for me - I'll give it another go tomorrow.

Okay, I've just run a few fights vs. Leo, and... he's not feeling quite right. Breaking Balance is great, it feels right and it's scary, it really feels like a master using their opponent's weight against them, but... he's not good enough at defending himself, and Leo is consistently beating him, which I don't feel should happen.

TEST 1
Units: Master Splinter vs. Leonardo (210)
Leo struck first, and kept getting heavy hits against his Master, defeating him in only three blows. However, he also overextended with each strike, taking a wound from Breaking Balance for the first two and only avoiding it the last time by finishing Splinter. Splinter only struck once, to no avail.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? R1T5: Leonardo with 2/5 wounds.

TEST 2
Units: Master Splinter vs. Leonardo (210)
Leo took three wounds from Splinter, one on a normal hit, one when his Balance was Broken on defence, and once when it was on offence, but his attacks were savage enough that Splinter couldn’t compete.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? R1T6: Leonardo with 3/5 wounds.

TEST 3
Units: Master Splinter vs. Leonardo (210)
Leo strikes first, inflicting two wounds to no reprisal, before Splinter struck Leo, breaking his balance and inflicting a wound that way. Leo retaliates, not overextending and inflicting a wound. Splinter then struck Leo, rolling two skulls - Leo fails to block whatsoever, taking two wounds normally and one from BB. Leo then hits Splinter with a devastating blow - he would take a wound from BB, being taken out, but takes Splinter out and survives instead.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? R1T5: Leonardo with 4/5 wounds.

TEST 4
Units: Master Splinter vs. Leonardo (210)
Leo strikes first, inflicting a wound while taking one himself due to overextending. Splinter strikes Leo, inflicting a wound with BB but none normally. Leo strikes Splinter for a wound, but takes one himself. Splinter fails to harm Leo. Leo maintains the initiative, and rolls an all-skull attack, eliminating his Master.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? R2T1: Leonardo with 3/5 wounds.

I would like to boost his Defence to 6. I wouldn't be opposed to drop his Life to 4 to compensate, or to keep it as is, but he just isn't good enough at defending himself right now.

Cool. I'll give him another go tomorrow with that tweak - I tend to prefer avoiding 6 Defence unless someone's particularly tough, rather than skilled, but I can justify it here by saying Splinter's just that good. I'll probably run that tomorrow and then get on with the army tests some time next week.

Not the point - Leo should not be able to consistently kick his Master's arse. That, to my mind, is a theme break.

If I had a nickel for every time you've written the word "theme".

Leonardo has 1 higher attack, 1 higher defense, and can attack twice in 1 turn. He very well should win based on those factors. Then there's the X factors of turn order/initiative, as well as the luck of dice rolls.

Not sure about him having a base def. of 6, that effects not just adj. normal attacks but ranged and SA too. How about if we took a different approach to making him more survivable.

BREAKING BALANCE
When an adjacent opponent's figure rolls attack dice for a normal attack against Master Splinter, or rolls defense dice against an attack from Master Splinter, if they roll more skulls than shields, subtract one skull from what was rolled and if Master Splinter is not destroyed, that figure receives a wound.
