Me too. A little surprised I have not got back to this yet but it has been a weird year with weather (60 and sunny this time of year is pretty rare), work and family. Most of my free time has been going to my RPG but I should free up C3G time soon. Almost ordered some Lawmaster figures the other day.

Got a few games in. Not too bad. SA is a huge boost.
I think I want to limit the interaction with the Cops by restricting the movement power to Hero figures. I think they will still be good to have but not as good to spam.

After revealing a numbered Order Marker on this card and instead of taking a turn with Judge Hershey, you may either take a turn with any other Judge or Lawman Hero figure you control or move normally up to 6 all Judge and/or Lawman Hero figures you control. Criminal figures roll one less die when defending against an attack from Judge Hershey.

If you want more Hero focused (and squads more used as fodder) I wonder if there wouldn't be more utility in restricting the Heavy Ordinance to Heroes (a squad with that seems terrifying).

It is already as there are no Judge squad figures and no plans to ever make one.
All Judges are heroes.

Gotcha. Sounds like a good change, then, if squads still feel too overwhelming as is.

I personally prefer the original version because;
a) She already has one power (Heavy Ordinance) that scales the bigger your army gets. Making it all Judges/Lawmen you control could get crazy if you’ve got a full 24 figure start zone. I just don’t want to see her feel overcosted in smaller matches because we price her around that big potential.
b) The Judges teaming up with cheap Lawman squads (like the Beat Cops) makes a lot of sense to me. I guess I see it like the FBI working with police in real life. And even if we limit it to Heroes, the SWAT figures still exist, so it’s not putting that much of a limit on things anyways.

The problem is the Beat Cops specifically. Mostly because they are really good.
Instead of making Hershey this great leader of law keepers she becomes the central cog in a Cop Pod.
The movement seems great until you realize you are doing no damage. When you switch to attack mode, unless it is Dredd, you are attacking once.
Now they each can unleash 6 Attack which is really nice but not always the easiest thing to execute especially if your foe is trying to make it tough. Friendly fire is also a concern.
We can limit the numbers on movement if needed but I found it really difficult to choose not to attack once the bullets start flying. The only justification was to move up a bunch of Cops for meat shields.
I think it will still be worth taking a squad of Cops as they can still be moved by Anderson which is really strong, especially when combined with Hershey.
Their ability to deny attacks is pretty annoying as is.

Mostly I want to dig into the other Lawmen. I think there are some strong builds in there, probably not stronger than a Cop pod but more fun.

Don't need that "or" as if you don't have one or the other you simply do not control them.
