What is the name of this laser game?

It has 2 laser emitter things, along with a bunch of mirrors.
You're supposed to put the mirrors into a grid to bend the laser beam.

I have two questions:

What is the name of this board game?

Is the laser of visible light?


I want to know because H_E_H has these perimeter guards, and I want to expand upon the concept with a herscape board covered in laser tripwires.

I've seen a game at Target/Walmart that looks very simlar to Khet but I don't think it's the same game. Also there's no way you can see the laser unless you add some dust or fog.

the big retailers carry a version of that also

called MGA Laser Battle
and it's funny b/c Target.com does have Khet listed on it website for 30 bucks and the laser battle is for sale at 18 atm(Laser battle is also at the stores, I picked up a copy of for my kid for xmas).

What!? The laser is not visible!? The site for laser battle said real working lasers, but that doesn't mean you can see them... If the lasers are visible, i'd happly buy the game and figure out laser rules for heroscape.

A Laser ray is just like any other light ray: you can see it only when it hit something.
That's why with laser pointers you see only the dot.
Smoke, fog, tiny dust all makes laser visible 'cause they "reflect" a bit of that light.... so, to see the ray as in this picture
you have to smoke a lot....then gaming have no means at all or maybe use a very powerful laser (i really dont know)... but then that game last for one turn only

If you want to risk blinding yourself you could always replace the red laser diodes, with green laser emiters... that are visible... but lasers that bright will burn black plastic so you might need to alter your game set too .
