Yea
Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) The correct way to add C3G playtests to posts. My favorite day EVER on heroscapers. Re: The Book of Orko - VOTE for Public Playtesting
This passes. Thanks, all. I'll post in a bit.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Orko - Public Playtesting
If anyone wants to repaint this Orko figure for Bats and see if it’s the right scale I’d be willing to buy it for you.

Re: The Book of Orko - Public Playtesting
Any build recommendations here, both for what to take him in and what to pit him against? I know that Batman (vIII) and some form of spells are musts, but apart from that I'm struggling.
Would it be better for me to hit this guy or Axe Cop first? ~Lazy Orang, who'd feel a little guilty if this guy didn't make the cut when Wreck-Gar's basically done. |

Re: The Book of Orko - Public Playtesting
I think Axe Cop is more essential for April Fool's. Orko can hold off until Christmas in July pretty easily.
I don't know if Batman (III) is essential. I guess he doesn't hurt, though. I don't know if I ever actually used any of his markers when I tested them. I'd say Orko's pretty much like Robin Dick Grayson without the Vigilante bonding. Or maybe he's more like Ragdoll without the passive movement. He works best just tying other figures up and annoying them. If you have to rely on his offense before end game, you've probably already screwed the pooch. So I'd take him in any army build where you need someone to pester/annoy/tie up shooters and then maybe act as a back up spell caster. I like him with Zatanna (II) because she can move up first and attack more effectively on her Order Marker, then Trap Door Teleport to swap Orko into engagement and move herself out to be more of a ranged threat. He'd also be a good glyph and height grabber, IMO. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Orko - Public Playtesting
Yeah, Zatanna II and a couple of spells sounds like a pretty good fit for one game.

Re: The Book of Orko - Public Playtesting
Here are my ideas for Orko tests (I've been struggling to come up with good concepts here, but think I've got them):
Zatanna (vII), Liu Kang, Orko, Wasp (vI), Hypnotise, Waking Nightmare, Condemn, 1x Hellfire: Ignition, 1x Temporal Inversion (700 points) vs. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo (700 points) Indigo-1, Bane, Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), Hawkeye (Clint Barton) (Skycycle), Orko, Vapours of Valtorr, Hypnotise, 1x Hellfire: Ignition (1,000 points) vs. Professor X, Omega Red, Deadpool, Angel (Warren Worthington III), Dazzler (1,000 points) |

Re: The Book of Orko - Public Playtesting
Those look great. When in doubt, especially with a non-synergistic unit, throw a rag-tag army together and go at it. Data is data, after all. Don't forget to have fun.
