The Book of Eltahale
The Book of Eltahale (If you cannot view the army card image, follow this link to the Heroscapers Gallery)Moltenclaw's Invasion- Collection D3 (13) - "Heroes of Fallcrest"
Spoiler Alert!
Character Bio (From truth): When we start discussing a new wave, we bounce ideas on certain figures we’d like to see back and forth with Peter Lee, the designer we work with at WotC. When Pete initially presented his vision for D3, there were some really exciting sculpts, but also some that the 3 of us really didn’t care for. There were too many bad guys to begin with. We could have forced some units into the allied generals to give the wave a sense of balance, but we had some different ideas. Over the next few days, Pete introduced to 3 brand new figures that we could add to this wave. They were previously sculpted, but were never released. The best part was, they fit perfectly into the design ideas that we were discussing. They had awesome poses, they were exciting figures, and they looked really great as Heroscape figures. Eltahale is the first of 3 new sculpts in this wave, and I can’t say enough great things about her. Not only is she in an awesome attack pose (mid-parrying attack), but every piece of exposed skin on the figure has intricate markings on it. We bounced a few power ideas back and forth when we started designing her. Originally, we had variations on Warden’s Fury and Triumphant Vigor, but after some discussion we finally landed on Eltahale being a master of Thunder damage. She has 2 new powers: Thunder Ram Assault Special Attack, and Thunder Step. You need to carefully plan which power you want to use on your turn with Eltahale. You can’t use both in one turn. Even though Thunder Step is a very powerful power, and can turn the tide of the battle quickly, you run the risk of overextending her. -Rulings and Clarifications- -Combinations and Synergies- Synergy Benefits Received: Synergy Benefits Offered: -Strategy, Tactics and Tips- TBA -Heroscapers Community Contributions- Eltahale Pre-Release Discussion Power Rankings Jexik: Eltahale- She's pretty neat and has a cool attack. Re: The Book of Eltahale
I have a strong feeling she'll climb. She combines a powerful special attack with a board control special ability, a dangerous swiss army knife who can probably be plugged in with all kinds of different things.
Maybe at her most dangerous in a draft pool? Plus I can't say enough about this awesome paint/sculpt. Can't wait to get my hands on it. |

Re: The Book of Eltahale
She is almost like an Alexander Drake that is with slightly lower attack, but can deal with squads. If you need to leave an engagement Thunder Step is worth it since you would take a leaving engagement attack anyway and you get higher attack with Thunder Step. I think Her/it's price is fair at 140, but not a undercosted figure like Krug or the Fen Hydra. Squads will have a run for their money agianst Thunder Ram.

Re: The Book of Eltahale
This has got to be one of the most powerful and versatile heros to come out in this weight class. I have a feeling Eltahale is going to see a good bit of use in competive level armies.
She reminds me a bit of a cheap version of Nilf. She can hit a single opponent very hard or strike out at squads with a multi target 4 dice special. She trades flight for thunder step and is vulnerable due to her size but can benifit from hitching a ride on everybody's favorite griffon. Her attacks are not quite as good as the old ice dragon mostly due to the engagement limitation but her life and defence are the same as Nilf's and she costs quite a bit less. Only time will tell but I think her final power ranking will end up a bit a higher although a B is already solid. |

Re: The Book of Eltahale
I think that Elthale is maybe the best sculpt in maybe the whole game.

Re: The Book of Eltahale
A samurai and marro killer. Will have trouble because of low range when dealing with soulborgs and slightly heavier heroes. But definitely a danger to people who play squadscape (like me)
