Actually, one was over Greenscales/Raelin/Quahon with a rat-podge. And yes, Nilfheim or Zelrig definitely would have been better. Quahon dies too fast sometimes.

He made a great army pick, giving me Warriors of Ashra against a pool of all range, and I made a poor choice, giving him the second strongest army in the pool. I underestimated the Hive, who rolled really well for Rebirth and just wouldn't die. I overestimated Quahon, my biggest chance for winning the tough matchup, who died in just four attacks and only got off one Lightning Breath of 1 skull. I can't really complain about dice though; my Warriors of Ashra rolled exceptionally well in the midgame but unfortunately the crazy rebirthing Stingers wouldn't go away, and whenever he would get kills it would severely cripple me. Thanks everyone! As always, I love this community! Lord knows I won by sheer luck all the way. All my opponents can testify I never take more than 15 seconds to make my moves and decisions lolz, prob cause my brain is too small to contain too much strategy.

I was always impressed with Dokspeak (coined word) when he was playing against me and he would suddenly say something like: "That's a 8% chance of it happening by the way, in case you were wondering." And then I realized how really far apart I was with the real pros. To me it was always just about who to kill next better and just go over and roll the dice. No stats no numbers no nothing... I hope to one day be as good as many pros out here in this community, and not depend so much on my luck, which is bad anyways. A miracle how I ended up winning.

Most memorable matches were those I was extremely disadvantaged against. For example, I had to use zombies (2 attack) against an army of warforged in round 4. As long as I didn't roll FULL dice, he won't even bother defending. Even if I did, he'd still get to defend with 2 dice to block just 1 skull.

The other really disadvantaged match was Rd3 against Phantom Knights, with me forced to use ranged units. They were literally invincible against my guns. As before, no recollection of how I won.

In playoffs Rd1, it was also a super exciting match when I was forced to go up against my very own drafted army of 10th with air and raelin etc, which I felt were really good. I was using the romans with warlords. Somehow managed to end up winning that too. Towards the end when I was winning, there was a killing blow that I believe made my opponent virtually give up - my NeGokSa mind shackled his Raelin haha.

My match with Dok was obviously a lucky game, seeing as how he was way superior to me in knowledge of the game and stuff.

The finals itself was probably an epic closure for me. Vegie had such great dice that his ashra warriors walked up to my stingers unscathed the entire 1st round of the game, and into 2nd turn of 2nd round. None died. At one point, I had one last stinger on the field with my hive under heavy attack. Somehow my last stinger got an ashra killed and the hive rebirthed another stinger in that turn. The following turn onwards my hive began working really hard and before I knew it I was winning again with a full squad of stingers. Truly an epic turn of events.

Thanks to all the organizers for this great tournament. This is my first time ever playing an online tournament, or ANY heroscape tournament for that matter. And I must say I really enjoy it!
