The end of summer is a crazy time for many. For me it was Gencon, followed by a weekend at the Ocean, followed by the start of school (I work at a school) I'm only just starting to catch up on a massive back log of email, I have this thread in my watch list so I can remember to come back with my detailed list of pronunciations once I work them out.
Patience. |

Why do you have 22 ways to pronounce Izumi?
It's Japanese. It's a REAL language. There is only one way to pronounce it. |

Re: The Great Heroscape Pronunciation Guide
Okay, my mother-in-law is from Norway (which pretty much makes me an expert).
She says : Einar: Eye-nar (which incidentally, she says is a very common old viking name). Jandar: Yawn-dar Ullar: OO-lar Utgar: OOt-Gar (which is how it's pronounced in the videos on Hasbro's site) Vydar: Vie-dar Incidentally, the 'r' at the end of each name is pronounced almost like a hard 'd' sound. I didn't ask her about Aquilla since it doesn't look like it has it's origins in viking culture, like the others. I personally like Aa (as in "at")-kwilla (with the emphasis on the first "A." Oh, and Krav Maga is Kraa (as in "at")v Muh-gaw (with the emphasis on the "gaw"). It's an Israeli martial art. Brandon I'm HipHoppa on Urban Rivals!
