Trees from your local Wall-Mart

I was browsing around Wall-Mart and found a very simple tree custom. For those who like pine trees but dont have the time, these will only set you back .50 cents - $1.00 a tree. Better yet some come pre flocked with snow or ice and look great on snow terrain. The bases of these trees are white but can be easily repainted to suit your liking and fit perfectly onto a one hex space.

I found them in the christmas isles by all porcelin minitures and nativity scene items. The larger trees were all $1.00 each and the small bush like ones were .50 cents.

I saw these trees too and alot of them look like bottle brushes more than trees. The snow flocked ones appear to be the nicest.

The ones that come in the big pack at Michaels for $14 are alot nice though.

Re: Trees from your local Wall-Mart

Onacara is correct. They have a set of 21 trees at Michaels that cost around $16. I didn't want to pay that, so I got some cheap ones at Big Lots for $6

The ones at Michaels are pretty nice though.

Good find Zyelos! I never have fond the darned things at Wal Mary myself.

Re: Trees from your local Wall-Mart

Wait until after Christmas, then the stuff becomes "junk" to Wal-Mart. My wife and I bought 2 packs of 10 of the slow-flocked trees last year (or was it this year in early January?) for less than $10.

The trees do look pretty awesome on a map. I gotta find a way to make them stable, though, because they tip over pretty easily.

Re: Trees from your local Wall-Mart

Here is a great tree I found at Wal-mart recently. It's in the x-mas village section. They are $2. If there are any left I will get a bunch when they go on clearance. The nice thing about them is that they don't have snow on them and each limb is textured. They are kind of messy, you may want to hair spray or otherwise coat them to keep them from shedding little green fibers. They also have a white base that you may want to repaint.
