From 2009 to 2010:

- Want to bring your A game to a tournament? Don't drink the night before especially for Day 2, get plenty of rest, dress comfortably, take an awesome shower, and in my case have your all important cup of coffee! Bonus points if you do it all in that order.

- Having a hotel room with a comfortable bed and being close to the convention > Sleeping on a basement floor in a house with cats when you are severly allergic to cats

- Take opportunities to try out new games in the Dealer Hall and publisher rooms

- GenCon is short! You'll get there on Wednesday and feel like you have all the time in the world. Sunday rolls around fast! Be sure to do the things you can't do back at home while you're still at GenCon (aka spending lots of time in the Dealer Hall!)

- If you're going to purchase from Coolstuffinc's ding & dent section be sure to do it on Thursday. They'll be sold out by Sunday for sure.

- Take an off year from Heroscape in 2009 and come back strong in 2010. Be sure to do the same in 2011.

Bonus Memorable Mistake Gen 10' - Placing Matthias in the Semi-Finals and placing an AE in an awesome untouchable spot behind Raelin and 2 Reavers. The AE was of course adjacent to all 3 figures. Matthias was nice enough to tell me this of course was not legal but I was still pretty flustered! :O
