I was hoping to launch my own custom thread, as I've been thinking up ideas for a while but I lack the resources to make any form of a REAL custom figure, even a repaint ; I don't even have photoshop. I do have a card creating program, and I have designed a few cards of my own. Should I still open up a custom thread, even if I probably will not be able to make any real customs? I would love to post my ideas, but unlike other 'scapers (ie. Soundwarp, who by the way, has blown my mind!) they are only ideas (and .jpg cards).

So should I?

Go for it. Post your creations. There are other customs threads that don't have the actual figures. Others can suggest tweaks so you can make your cards even better. If they like what you've done, they can use other figures as proxies and play a game with them.

Thanks, I think I'll do that, I'll be putting up a thread soon, if you guys want to hijack the cards for your own figures, by all means, IMPRESS ME! Hope you like them...

If you check out my Customs, you'll notice that most of them use the same exact figures pulled from 'Scape. No repainting or modding necessary

Up to people to nominate them. Also, up to people to know what's out there already. A lot of new people (not all) don't know what's been done before. We're going on 3 years of heroscape, and just about that many years of custom designs. A LOT of stuff has been done before. All I'm saying is take a few minutes to look through the A-Z index before you come in, say, Hi, here are my customs, and don't get any feedback because what you're doing has all be done before.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing with you by any means, nor was this directed purely at you. More a razz to the community to encourage some more filling out of the ranks of the barracks!

You know, I've been on this site for a few months, and have only just read this post. It was indeed very helpful, but I wish I'd read it before posting on the custom thread myself. It may have saved me quite a bit of time (and brain power).
In any case..... we make a mistake, we learn, we move on.

hay guys im new at this i love the game my freind got me into it but i cant seem to find him on heroscapers i know it has somthing to do with the warriors
