Re: The Book of Human Torch (Johnny Storm)
Yes. I'm not disagreeing. I'm just saying that if the player controlling Human Torch chooses to have figures outside of Prof X's aura defend his attack first, then a figure within Prof X's aura, allowing him to trigger Psychic Defense X, then Prof X would be doing just that after the attack is already in progress.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Human Torch (Johnny Storm)
I agree Bats.
@ theme nerds The same holds true for any area of effect power that could affect a figure inside and outside of Prof X's range. Gameplay > theme, so unless it's a power where the targeted figure is within X's range, then the attacker gets to choose the order of the figures defending that are affected. Re: The Book of Human Torch (Johnny Storm)
Okay, I've got a question for Flame On 4: can it be activated when Human Torch is moved by Martian Manhunter's Telepathic Directive? He can use flying when moved by Telepathic Directive I believe, so it would be "before Human Torch begins to fly".

Re: The Book of Human Torch (Johnny Storm)
The way it's worded, I suppose you could use it with Martian Manhunter. It says "Once per turn" but it doesn't specify that it has to be Human Torch's turn. He also wouldn't take leaving engagement attacks while using it with Telepathic Directive.

Exactly, you could do so serious damage with Flame on 4 combined with Telepathic Directive. I might just have to try that one out next chance I get (add in Meteorite to protect Human Torch and use Manipulate when moved by Telepathic Directive, and you've got one mean combo). Re: The Book of Human Torch (Johnny Storm)
Flame on 4 states that it affects "engaged" figures. So if you are adjacent to your own figures, or friendly figures, they are not affected correct?

Re: The Book of Human Torch (Johnny Storm)
Correct. You are never engaged with your own figures or friendly figures.

Not to beat a dead horse, but what's the ruling on using Flying after using up all of your movement to use Flame On? Or any figure in general using Flying after using up all movement? |

Re: The Book of Human Torch (Johnny Storm)
I could see the answer being no because as soon as your # of available moves becomes 0, that figure enters the "after moving" phase.
However, as of right I do think it's possible a figure can Fly in place, and not have to move anywhere, so at the start of a turn where Torch is engaged can, he can Fly, take leaving engagement attacks, Flame On, and land without moving any spaces. EDIT: But if that were true, wouldn't that also mean that as long as he only moved 5 spaces, he could Fly+Flame On without necessarily moving that last space?
