2. B:T:L Matt = girlfriend
3. Pilgrim = friend
4.thefattestninja = friend
5.Bobbo= friend
6.thefattestninja=friend#2

If you have friends or relatives who want to participate who are not members of scapers please post thier intention to come in the thread and I will update this to reflect them.

OK here it is.

I have secured a venue and together with Pilgrim we are holding a tournament.

WHERE: Stoughton MA,(I will pm all registered participants the exact address)

WHEN : Sunday Sept 10th

TIME: from 2pm until 7pm (or when done)

ARRIVAL: I will be on the premisis at Noon. I would like everyone to try to arrive between 1-1:30 to meet-n-greet and get settled.

MINIMUM AGE: The minimum age will be 14.

REGISTRATION/PLAYER LIMIT: Final date for registration is Sept. 1st
I would remind all participants to double click to confirm registration as neccessary.
In the event an odd number of participants register including non-scapers (please note count at top of post) We will do our best to drum up another player after registration is over.
As long as it is before Sept 1st we do have a potential individual ready to step in to even it up.

STYLE: Round Robin Swiss style.

VICTORY CONDITION: OK the points system is as follows.
You will be awarded points based on enemys eliminated, (and wounded)

If you WIN : meaning you eliminated the entire enemy army.
You will be awarded 400 points. even if the opposing army is < 400 points.

If you LOSE meaning you've been completely eliminated.
You will be awarded points based on what you've killed and/or wounded as follows:
Killed Hero = point value of card
Wounded Hero = point value of card divided by life times wounds given
Full Squad = point value of card
Partial Squad = point value of card divided by squad # times members of squad eliminated.

Rulings for some specific figs for the point system we will use:
*In cases of multiple common squads they will be grouped up as if they all had thier own card for scoring purposes.
*The Marro warriors will NOT stack, the points will be based on # left at the end of the game.
*If you use Kelda to heal you are indeed taking points away from your opponent.
*If you extend Alistar you are awarding your opponent those points.
*Negoksa see page 14 post for ruling on this (I'm lazy)

If you TIE meaning time runs out and both opponents have figures remaining.
You will be awarded points based on what you've killed/wounded as follows:
see: if you lose, but applies to both players.

This scoring system was not arrived at easily and reflects alot of different opinions and compromise.

ARMY: one army comprised of licensed HS figures that must be between 380 to 400 points pre drafted. Customs are not allowed.

BOARDS: all maps will consist of 1 MS and some will have an expansion (snow,lava,road/trees).
please note page 6 to view current maps selected

RULES: All master version 2nd ed. HS rules apply, (yes including 1 point to turn a double around) . This is the only way to keep it consistant.

JUDGES: each table will have its own judge with "jurisdiction" over that table.
In the event of a dispute there will be a cpoy of faqs and rules nearby at each table courtsy of tehfattestninja.
we will expect three steps to be followed.
a. attempt to resolve by discusion.
b. if unresolved and situation is yes or no, roll twenty sider as stated in rule book.
c. if still unresolved and more complex than yes or no consult nearest judge.

ROUNDS: there will be 4 timed rounds of 45 minutes each.

WHAT YOU NEED: you will need your army and its cards
plus we are asking all players to provide/bring thier own dice, turn markers, and wound counters. a small request and it will help us have less to "worry" about.

NUMBER OF ARMIES: We have discussed this to resolution.
Only one army will be allowed and used.

Important update
ENTRY FEE/PRIZES: Due to some generous donations of prizes We are going to waive the entry fee. Thats right admission is free.
We will be taking donations for The Animal Rescue Fund at the door.

FOOD: We will be providing chips/cookies/sodas.
We would encourage anyone to bring some snack food of this nature to share.
There is a pizza joint next door so any one who wants to chip in and buy we will. After round 2 we will probably have a bit of a break and order.

Stay tuned for further up dates.

I'll talk to OPrime about it. The deciding issue right now is getting a place to hold the event for cheap and that's convenient for setup, etc, and right now the best option for us is a place we found that's only available on a Sunday.

But if there's a groundswell of request for Saturday, then we will certainly have to give it a seroius review.

Would a little later in the day on Sunday be helfpul? (like 3-7 or 4-8 ).

Feedback appreciated!

You need a third option in the poll; "either is good."

Barring family commitments, I see no problem with either date.

Jim

Don't think of it as being outnumbered. Think of it as having a wide shot selection!

Awesome!

Do you have any preferances regarding Sat vs. Sunday or timing (earlier or later)?
