I'm Lost
I'm actually not sure which part you're referring to. All I'll say is the resolution while it fit logically with both the story and I kinda see with some of the themes it was less clever than I'd have liked and it felt like a step backwards for Taylor's character growth. (I mean I actually am feeling like Skitter is scarily close to how I would be as a supervillain so there might be some projection there)

Re: Books: What are you currently reading?
Worm is pretty cool. It's a bit dark for my tastes, but the superpowers and the ways that they're used is very creative and interesting.
~KoS, who actually has a bunch of Heroscape customs of Worm characters which he needs to get around to posting in his custom thread. |

Re: Books: What are you currently reading?
I read the first 5 (or was it 4) of the Incarnations of Immortality. I might have missed the Nature one. I liked On a Pale Horse best of the ones I read. That's about all I remember. How does it hold up? I only read those books 30 years ago.

Some are better than others, with For Love of Evil and Bearing an Hourglass being me favorites. All of them are good.

Have you read them all? Are you going to go for the last one too? Do you own them?

I own Wielding a Red Sword and And Eternity, the latter of which I'm still reading.

Re: Books: What are you currently reading?
My Canadian gamer pal who can't visit this Christmas due to the Pandemic, just sent me Brian Herbert/Kevin J. Anderson's latest:
Dune: The Duke of Caladan I've read most of the books, although I'm not sure about the last two or so. I'm looking forward to the new movie. |

Re: Books: What are you currently reading?
I enjoyed Dune but I never finished it, only got a little over halfway through it. I should get back to it. My brother got all the books for Christmas, so he'll be checking them out too. I'm not super-excited to see the new movie because Dune really needs to be a TV show considering its length and density, and there's pretty much no way we'll ever see any sequels to the new film which only covers the first half of the first book as far as I know.
I got Gyo the same holiday. I really enjoyed Uzumaki (or really anything by Junji Ito), though I don't know if manga counts as books. ~TAF, who always enjoys weird surreal horror TAF was the Storyteller... in THE ENEMY'S LAST RETREAT |

Re: Books: What are you currently reading?
I think they are planning to make two Dune movies to cover the whole book, although I'm not sure if they are making them both at once.
