In line with my suggested change to the Orc version of cave dweller, what if we had a power that upped the ante; change the move bonus to 2 instead of 1 (with a base move of 4) and the attack bonus to 2 (with a base attack of 4). It is actually a negative power most of the time, but positive powers are easier to word and keep track of. It would make him cheaper and emphasize the impact of daylight compared to the orcs.

We could call it Cave Dweller 2 and call the other power Cave Dweller 1. @Chris Perkins @Shiftrex

I'm on board with making this figure (and possibly moria orcs / goblins as well) heavily map dependent (i.e. depended on shadow) - in fact I like it quite a lot.

When thinking about which figures in HoME we want at the B+ and higher power levels for double-blind competitive tourneys, it's important to not have too many squads crack those rankings and I think this is a good way to make these figures quite powerful in the right scenario but still have no effect on the meta of Classic Scape w/ HoME.

Totally agree, if the majority of our stuff is B ranked, itll be attractive as fun additions to the game. Also, it's probably easier to gain acceptance for an event if our stuff is lower powered on average, though that isnt necessarily our goal.

I think the card is quite good as-is. I might want to up the point total a bit (seems like being more expensive than the ice troll would be good, even though ice troll gets bonding with arrows - maybe 90 or 95 points?). Otherwise I'm happy with the card though

Yes, named after the specific trolls found underground in Moria.

This is our first one but the defensive and stamina value seems to fit our preliminary thoughts on in a match up with a hero like Boromir. Making the troll tough to fell by just swinging at it.

With our current discussions, I need feedback on this. I will leave this as Utgar for now but we need to hash this out immediately before going forward.

The card has two powers and is very straight forward. I think that this is a really good place to be for a figure like the Cave Troll.

These trolls, along with Orcs and perhaps other creatures, were originally sent to inhabit Moria by Sauron some five hundred years before the War of the Ring.

The cave-trolls of Moria were of huge size with a skin of dark green scales, and flat, toeless feet. The fact that Gandalf was able to recognise the creature he encountered in Moria specifically as a cave-troll strongly suggests that this appearance was shared by others of the kind.
