@Yodaking , that's hilarious. Seeing some of what he does in the prequel movies I'm surprised more of that didn't happen to the jawas in the legit movie.

I can't tell if you are being serious or not. The evolution of R2 is one of the things that actually worked for me in the prequels. He starts out in EP1 a brand new shiny top of the line R2 unit purchased by royalty. As a result he has all the best bells and whistles money can buy. By the time EP4 rolls around, he is no longer a new droid and his parts have broken and not always been replaced. As part of the Rebellion, money and parts that might have gone towards an R2 unit were instead diverted to more pressing needs.

I know R2 & 3PO will be in EP7, but really is seems a bit crazy that they would still be around. What are they at that point almost 50 years old and 3PO was made from junk parts to boot? Look how quickly we toss aside and upgrade cell phones, tvs, and computers in our comparatively primitive culture. I know the galaxy was at war for much of their lifetime, and the Empire's draconian reign slowed progress as well, but even so it's seems hard to believe that a pair of robots would last 3 generations of Skywalkers without ever being replaced by something new.

yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed that clip you posted. I love R2 in the movies, I laughed my butt off watching him blast jawas, flying around. I love the HOSS r2 as well, I've killed samurai by shocking them off of ledges, killed many a droid,deathwalker with him, and just recently I faced off with Jabba the Hutt in a play test where I successfully shocked jabba into the swamp..twice. I liked how you pointed out his evolution, I never really thought about it like that. Overall, funny video.

Both Anakin and Luke are exceptionally skilled at repair so I think that may point somewhat to their continued existence. It is hard to say how the evolution of robotics played out. It seems likely that production of non combat droids may have dropped, factories destroyed, ect. So perhaps new droids are limited in number.
In the world of Battletech, much of the tech to build Mechs was lost. The Mechs built in 3025 were of poorer quality than the ones pre-3000. Occasionally someone would find a cache of lost tech and develop new weapons and armor.

I found a sweeeet website that dabbles in diorama building. This guy has some amazing downloadable, printable, dioramas. The thing is, they are for the star wars action figures 6" in I think. I am going to resize them in Photoshop for miniatures and make some more sweet terrain. All you would have to do is print them out and glue them to backing of some kind.(Cardboard, foamboard, or something stronger.

Cool, isn't it. I saw this the other day when I was searching for some wall textures.

In case you haven't seen this, here's a great papercrafting site with some Star Wars ships and such.

EDIT: Hey, check out this latest map of cloud city I made, I built it, and its sweet. I already played a couple games on it. I tweaked it a little from the pics but wow. Bespin Duel/Freezing Chamber.

I wonder if we could incorporate some of those printouts into an official BoSS game board. Design a cool board for battling on and use the printouts as a backdrop.

Don't know if you are familiar with AliasQTip's Factory Doors and Windows. Print, cut, fold, and paste and you have some wall and window sections that fit between fortress columns. It's a neat way to extend a fortress set. Awhile back, he sent me the template and I made some test versions using Tantive IV interiors. There wasn't much interest at the time, but I would be happy to work up some with Death Star, Hoth, Bespin, etc interiors if the new BoSS group would want to use them.
