Re: The Book of Yondu - Vote for Playtesting
ya, ja, and yep.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Like all d20 swingy units, points can be tough to decide. In Game 1 Yondu and his power set did some damage but was hardly dominate. In game 2 almost everything went right and the d20 was rolling favorably and a great set up. For now I'd say stay with 190 points but I could see a bump in points possible. GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Yondu and his Yaka Arrow Frenzy give the Pirates some much needed help. Pirate Code allows his team to recruit a non-Super Strength hero and turn him into a pirate. It's bigger feature is that it allows you to take a turn with a hero or squad if he does a wound. This gives the Orion Arm Ravagers some love and a reason to put them in your pirate builds. Pirate Code also has a cost of moving an order marker off Yondu if he doesn't inflict damage, in most pirate builds moving an x-marker isn't a big deal though, so he's going to see that a lot which can make order marker placement a little predicable. In game 1 it didn't directly come into play, but it did make me think about order marker placement. Yaka Arrow control is a nod to the movies but didn't come into play, and rarely will. If space on the card is an issue I could see this power getting dropped. Yaka Arrow Frenzy is the real star of the design. I think the limits on it to once a round and one attack per figure keep it in check. It can be very potent but also puts a huge bullseye on Yondu's back and with only a range of 4 it puts him in the thick of the action. Game two is tough game to judge, it was the perfect set-up for him being placed on the bridge with 2 hard to kill blockers in front and going against a team with ranges or 3 and 4. I'm happy with where the design is and look forward to seeing what others do with him. |

Re: The Book of Yondu - Vote for Playtesting
Question (and apologies if this has been answered already) - what happens if Yondu fails to inflict a wound with his attack, but his chosen Hero is dead? (Or mind controlled, or what have you.) Does he still have to move the OM?

Re: The Book of Yondu - Vote for Playtesting
Cool. I might suggest this change, but I'm not really the wording guy so take it with a grain of salt.

Re: The Book of Yondu - Vote for Playtesting
If Yondu has to move an Order Marker with Pirate Code, can he move an already revealed marker?

No,I don't think anyone can. But I'm not totally sure.

Re: The Book of Yondu - Vote for Playtesting
It doesn't say anything about revealed or unrevealed, so you'd need to specify that he only moves unrevealed OMs if that is the intent.

Re: The Book of Yondu - Vote for Playtesting
Great tests
@MrNobody
thank you! I always forget about Nebula, she is a good fit here.
I agree with you, about Yondu giving the Pirates and Orion Arm Ravagers a little more pop. That is a good thing in my opinion. His high offensive potential certainly puts a bullseye on him. |
