Re: Question Dump: Post Your Questions Here.
Funny, cause my thought process was usually the opposite of that. I'd just surround him in any ranged units I had left in my end-game, last-stand, and he usually was worth every point, or more, than he cost me. I think I used him more defensively rather than offensively.

Re: Question Dump: Post Your Questions Here.
If a figure has a power that says, "After moving and before attacking...", it wouldn't be right to move one space, then back to the original space, would it? But in a previous discussion, the Flying symbol was shown to be able to have a figure just stand in one spot and activate/deactivate flying repeatedly, yet move 0 spaces.

Re: Question Dump: Post Your Questions Here.
You can literally move zero. It still counts as a move. I know it sounds odd but its true.

Wow. If you don't mind my asking, where did you get that?

Re: Question Dump: Post Your Questions Here.
For one, dead eye dan's special powers can only be used if he did not move. That confirms it, but other than that one of the admins had said it on the site before.

How does that confirm it?

Re: Question Dump: Post Your Questions Here.
Moving there and back would accomplish the same thing as a move of 0.... and unless the power says you have to move, it is optional. "After moving" means the move phase of the turn, and the same for the "before attacking" phrase. You can just not move in the move phase, and use the special before attacking.
I think. |

Re: Question Dump: Post Your Questions Here.
Thank you Zakovani! I'm horrible at explaining things.

Re: Question Dump: Post Your Questions Here.
Zakovani is correct. After moving and before attacking is a reference point for when the effect triggers, not an implicit requirement that the unit actually move. Some units (Deadeye Dan, the 4th Mass.) require a unit remains stationary during the movement phase.
Check the Book for particular units if you have questions about them; it's what the Books are for. |

Re: Question Dump: Post Your Questions Here.
If that is the case, then, why put "After moving and before attacking" there in the first place? If you don't have to move, it's just a waste of space and causes confusion. It must be there for a reason, right??
EDIT: Oh, I only have Marvelscape and some Star Wars customs provided by HoSS (Heroes of Star Wars 'Scape), of which I am a member. |

Re: Question Dump: Post Your Questions Here.
The after moving and before attacking specifies when the action takes place. Dund's Crippling Gaze takes place Before moving, while Kee-Mo-Shi's Toxic Skin takes place after attacking. It just specifies when to use it.
~GT55, maybe a better explanation |

Re: Question Dump: Post Your Questions Here.
Ohhhhh, okay. So for powers without that clause, you can use them whenever. But does that mean you can attack normally after using a Before attacking Special Attack/Power?
