MISTRESS OF MAGIC
After Zatanna or a friendly Unique Hero within 10 spaces of Zatanna rolls combat dice, if they were not rolling for a special attack, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 13 or higher, change one die rolled to a blank.

TRAP DOOR TELEPORTATION
Once per round, after revealing an Order Marker on the Army Card of a Unique Hero you control and instead of taking a turn with that Hero, you may immediately switch Zatanna and the Hero. After switching, take a turn with either Zatanna or that Hero, and you may not take any additional turns with other figures you control. Figures switched by Trap Door Teleportation never take any leaving engagement attacks.

SLEIGHT OF HAND
After a figure rolls defense dice against Zatanna's normal attack, if Zatanna has more blanks than the defending figure, the defending figure immediately receives one wound.

MAGICAL DEFENSE
When Zatanna is attacked by an opponent's figure that does not have the Magical Defense special power, the most wounds Zatanna can take for this attack is one.

Check out the mini photo before I cleaned it up some. It’s even more horrid.

I do like the hat, but I dig the classic vibe this one offers as I see this as an earlier version of the character.

Thinking I might use her original figure, possibly with a somewhat more black repaint. The top hat is too important. Top hats are just too cool.

I kind of feel like "rolls combat dice for anything other than a special attack" reads a bit clearer? Or sounds better to my ear at least?

Also, I remember at one point SirG making sure we never had figures rolling dice... players roll dice FOR figures. Not sure if that's still part of our style guide.

I felt like that kind of wording was a bit unclear on whether or not it affected normal attacks and defense rolls. Fine with it if other people are, though.

I word things in that style when it's convenient, but I don't stress out about maintaining it. It wasn't a standard in classic, and you get some tortured wordings trying to avoid figures rolling dice. SirG couldn't avoid it all the time either.
