I personally love the synergies Deathcommander brings to the Deathstalkers. Rush the DC in, follow with Stalkers, and use DC's re-roll ability to turn a 2 skull hit into a Maul.

The biggest bonus I found for Deathcommander is the Zettian Guards. Suddenly they are rolling 3 dice on height or with Targeting and rerolling one from 7 range. With 7 defense! They're easily worth 70 point in a DCM3 Army, imo.

Yep. Though the DWs themselves don't benefit at all being in the army, IMO.

Agreed, they've already got the ZI though and playing ALL the Utgar-borgs in a single massive army would be full of synergy and fun I bet. It wouldn't win, of course.

I had more fun with DCM3 than with any other unit I've playtested to date (which is getting to be quite a few now), mostly because of the range of strategic options that come into play.

He really does give new life to the Zettian Guards and Deathstalkers. But even with a DW or 2 and the Zettian Infantry, there's some interesting twists around OM's. Will you use the ZI's to move/attack with DCM3 or a DW? Or is the OM on DCM3 when he's engaged so that you can move/attack with a DW (or others depending on the build)? With ZI's along, DCM3 lasts a lot longer too.
