Why only 5 generals?
I was doing some deep thinking about HS (dangerous idea, I know) and with everything being hex shaped, and hexes having 6 sides, I got to thinking why not 6 generals? Sure maybe 6 would be one too many but it seems it would fit so much nicer with the hex theme all over the game. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

That is a good point Doustin. I really wouldn't mind seeing some other generals.

Actually according to the packaging in Wave 1, it is Utgar and Einar that are allied (also Jandar and Ullar are allies). Vydar is the one not aligned (so far).

And According to the FAQ of the main site:

Which Valkyrie Generals are allies, which ones are enemies?
Normally the good/bad lines are drawn as follows:
Good: Jandar
Bad: Utgar
Neutral with slight leanings toward one side or the other: Ullar, Vydar, Einar. So, currently Ullar is allied with Jandar and Einar/ Vydar are with Utgar but alliances can change...

The way the storyline has been created, it leaves things wide open for a sixth faction to join the fray at any time. When the creators think it will add a new element to the game, I'm sure they'll consider that.

In order to catch up, they'd have to release an entire wave of nothing but the new general though. Might not be too bad of an idea.

Hasbro had tentatively penciled in Tom Cruise as the sixth General, but he weirded them out this year with his couch jumpings, fueds with Brooke Shields and whatnot.
