My son just mentioned this, and it sounded too much like BS to not look up. Turns out to be true. Koalas have human-like fingerprints. The thing that I think is really cool is that their fingerprints and ours evolved independently.

That was an interesting video. I've never heard of the other explosion over Russia, so I can't comment on it.

The meteor in 1947 is the other one, though it was a bit less severe.
